Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive – Breath of Darkest Shadow

The Bell Speaks

General Nazgrim: Your efforts have culminated in this moment, (class).

Warchief Garrosh gathers the most elite champions of the Horde in Kun-Lai Summit to witness the ringing of the Divine Bell.

You have more than earned the right to participate.

Go now. The dawn of the new Horde begins today.

Speak to Tak-Tak. He should be able to secure your travel arrangements.

Find Malkorok at Emperor’s Reach. Speak to Tak-Tak at Domination Point for transportation.

You: Take me to Emperor’s Reach.

Tak-Tak: I got a bad feelin’ about this.

Your Warchief has got that bell, and he’s goin’ to use it to make the Horde stronger.

But I think that bell has got some power … and it’s bad.

Nobody, not hozen, not human, not orc … should use the sha.

Be careful.

I hope I see you again, friend.

(Find Malkorok at Emperor’s Reach: 1/1)

Malkorok: I was wondering when you would arrive, (name).

Breath of Darkest Shadow

Malkorok: It is time, (name). We have traveled a long path to reach this moment.

Today, we witness the birth of Garrosh’s Horde!

Do not let anything interfere with the ceremony!

Witness the ringing of the Divine Bell.

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: We cannot rely on fate or destiny. We must carve out our own future … the future that WE deserve!

We are the HORDE. We are slaves to nothing and no one!

With the Divine Bell, I will burn away any remnants of weakness within us. Fear … despair … hatred … doubt. The lesser races are buried beneath their weight. But WE will control their power.

Together, we will destroy the Alliance and claim what is rightfully ours. Let our song of victory begin.

(Note: Garrosh rings the Divine Bell.)

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Yes! Feel the power within you. Fight your fears. Conquer your hatred!

This is but a test of our strength. We will pass this trial, just as we have passed others!

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Yes! Feel the power within you. Fight your fears. Conquer yur hatred!

If our enemies should choose to push us, we will drive them into the ground!

Prince Anduin Wrynn: Stop, Garrosh! You do not know what that bell is capable of!

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Ahahahaha … so in the end, it is not Varian, but his whelp who comes to face me. You run bravely to your death, young one.

Prince Anduin Wrynn: I will not let you do this. I swear to it.

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Stop me then, human.

(Note: Garrosh rings the Divine Bell, again.)

Blademaster Ishi: Auuuuuugggghhhhh! This pain! I cannot control it!

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Fight the sha – master it! Use it!

Blademaster Ishi: Do you speak the truth, Garrosh? Can the Horde truly survive another war?

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Doubt is for the weak! Do not question your strength, Ishi. We will survive because we must! The HORDE will prevail!

Blademaster Ishi: We have lost so much, Warchief. Our families, dead. Our friends, lost. Our homeland, gone. How much more must our people suffer?

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Our suffering is at an end. When this war is won, our people will see prosperity at last.

Blademaster Ishi: Why should we be slaves to honor, when we could slaughter the children of our enemies while they sleep? My blade thirsts for Alliance blood!

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Control your hatred, Ishi. There is killing, and then there is murder. Direct your rage to our enemies.

Blademaster Ishi: At night, I see the faces of all those I have slain. Where do our spirits go after our bodies lay cold? I fear … death.

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Use your fear, Ishi! Turn in on your foes. When death arrives, will you stand and face it or kneel in defeat?

Blademaster Ishi: Warchief! I … I have failed you.

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Yes, Ishi. You have.

Your interference has cost me a great warrior, young prince. You’ll pay with your life.

Prince Anduin Wrynn: That is where you are wrong, Garrosh.

(Note: Prince Anduin hits the Divine Bell with the pandaren mallet. The Divine Bell emanates holy light which stuns Warchief Garrosh with a blast.)

Prince Anduin Wrynn: The mogu made the Divine Bell to create chaos, but the pandaren created a special mallet to turn the echoes of that chaos into perfect harmony. That mallet was hidden for thousands of years, until now.

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: Die, whelp!!

(Note: Garrosh causes a shockwave with his mallet destroying the Divine Bell into pieces, and burying Prince Anduin with the shattered pieces. Anduin dies.)

(Defeat Anduin Wrynn: 1/1)

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: They may have destroyed the Divine Bell, but I have taken teh life of the Alliance’s prodigal son!

It is nothing less than my own father would have expected of me.

This victory may have come at a high cost, but it is of little consequence.

I will find other ways to destroy my enemies, and bring glory to the Horde!

(Dominance Offensive Achievement Progress: Breath of Darkest Shadow)

(Achievement Earned: Dominance Offensive)

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream: There is much I do not know about this artifact. The weak-willed cannot control this sha energy, but I WILL master it.

At least the human prince is dead. King Wrynn now knows the price of his continued defiance.

Leave me. I have much to think about.

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall – The Purge of Dalaran

Darnassus Attacked?

Admiral Taylor: As you know, our night elven allies moved the Divine Bell you retrieved to Darnassus for safekeeping and study. Moments ago, they portaled some Highbourne mages over here to ask for backup. Details are hazy – some sort of stealth attack on the city?

I don’t know what to make of it, but Jaina Proudmoore is already on the scene and I suspect they need all the help they can get.

Speak to Seamus Goldenkicks over there for a quick portal to Darnassus. Find Jaina.

Speak with Jaina in Darnassus.

You may speak with Seamus Goldenkicks in Lion’s Landing to be ported to Darnassus.

You: I need a portal to Darnassus.

Jaina Proudmoore: No, no, no! The Bell!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: The Bell is gone.

At the scene of the crime, we found traces of arcane magic … I may be able to use my skills to track the thieves.

Tracking the Thieves

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: We WILL get to the bottom of this.

(Name), you’re coming with me. We’ll search every inch of this city if we have to, but we’ll find out how they took the bell … and where.

I’m picking up traces of arcane magic here … we need to follow the trail!

Follow Jaina to help her discover who took the Divine Bell, and where they took it. You may speak with Seamus Goldenkicks in Lion’s Landing to be ported to Darnassus.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: I had Darnassus LOCKED DOWN! Every fumbling rogue that tried to sneak into the city, I CAUGHT them! I snatched every two-bit charlatan that attempted to teleport through my traps!

They couldn’t possibly have gotten through … this was an inside job. Somebody inside the city has the Bell, unless … no …

These portals connect to Dalaran. That means the Kirin Tor … MY OWN Kirin Tor … helped the Horde commit this atrocity.

I will NOT be betrayed again! Those responsible for this will be punished!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: I’ve decided.

Certain members of the Kirin Tor have put their allegiance to the Horde above the order, and I will NOT tolerate it. This is nothing short of a betrayal.

(Jaina’s eyes flare with rage.)

Come with me, (name). We’re going to clean up Dalaran.

Jaina’s Resolution

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: For too long, I have tolled to mend fences between Alliance and Horde. Time and time again, I’ve given the Horde the benefit of the doubt – and time and time again, they stab me in the back.

I refuse to be betrayed again! If the Horde intendes to use the Kirin Tor as a weapon against the Alliance, then they have no place in Dalaran.

Come with me, (name).

Use the portal from Darnassus to Dalaran, then speak with Vereesa Windrunner on the other side.

(Take the portal from Darnassus to Dalaran: 1/1)

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Aethas Sunreaver!

You’ve betrayed the Kirin Tor, Sunreaver. You’ve allowed Garrosh to move his forces through MY city.

Aethas Sunreaver: You have it all wrong, Jaina. I did nothing.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: You looked the other way. You and your insubordinate kind are no longer welcome here.

Aethas Sunreaver: This is OUR city too, Proudmoore.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Hah! I see. I will remove the Sunreavers by force, then.

You, Aethas, will be coming with me.

Vereesa Windrunner: I will instruct you from here on out.

Jaina will be going down into the city to enforce our new rules.

I have long waited for an opportunity to deal with the Sunreavers. I asked my late husband to remove them from the city, but he believed too firmly in the neutrality of the Kirin Tor.

He was wise, but he was short-sighted. This has always been the destiny of the Kirin Tor: to serve the Alliance.

Nowhere to Run

Vereesa Windrunner: Compliant Sunreavers will be sent to the Violet Hold. Defiant ones are put to the sword.

NONE are to escape.

The Sunreavers keep their dragonhawk mounts on Krasus’ Landing. Take this dust, and use it to render them incapable of flying.

Or kill them. I don’t care.

Render 5 Sunreaver Dragonhawks incapable of flying.

vereesa Windrunner: Now, the Sunreavers have to answer to us. Jain or death – their fate is in their own hands.

Nowhere to Hide

Vereesa Windrunner: The Sunreaver’s Sanctuary is still crawling with those Horde-loving Sunreavers.

Jaina will have sent the reasonable ones to the Violet Hode. The rest refuse to leave, raising their weapons against us.

Show them the cost of their defiance. They now face the judgment of the Alliance, the Silver Covenant, and the Kirin Tor!

Slay 16 Sunreavers in the Sunreaver’s Sanctuary.

Vereesa Windrunner: This is a bloody day, (name), and this is bloody work.

But do not forget what the Sunreavers did to bring this on: They used neutral Kirin Tor resources to aid the Horde in their fight against the Alliance.

Do no hesitate to believe that they would do the same to us, given the chance.

Sewer Cleaning

Vereesa Windrunner: Jaina’s doing a good job taking care of Sunreavers above ground, but there’s still plenty rooting around in the sewers.

Go find those lying rats and exterminate them!

Slay 12 Sunreavers in the Dalaran Sewers.

Vereesa Windrunner: It’s nice to have those rats out of here for good. Well done, hero.

Unfair Trade

Vereesa Windrunner: Most shopkeepers in the Magus Commerce Exchange have sided with the Silver Covenant, but there remain a few holdouts that must be taken care of.

(Vereesa shows you a list of names.)

They will not go easily.

Slay Inkmaster Aelon, Tolyria, Gearmage Astalon, and Sintharia Cinderweave.

Sintharia Cinderweave: So it’s come to this, eh?

(Sintharia Cinderweave slain: 1/1)

Gearmage Astalon: You’ll have to wrench me out of here!

(Gearmage Astalon slain: 1/1)

Tolyria: For the Sunreavers!

(Tolyria slain: 1/1)

Inkmaster Aelon: I’ll scribble you out of existence!

(Inkmaster Aelon slain: 1/1)

Vereesa Windrunner: While I can’t say I agree completely with Jaina’s methods, I do understand her motives.

Sometimes, you have to fight back.

Cashing Out

Vereesa Windrunner: I just saw one of the Sunreavers – Brasael, I think his name was – running off in the direction of the bank to the north. No doubt he’s trying to gather whatever assets he can before he leaves.

Head him off and make sure he doesn’t steal any resources from our coffers. He relinquished whatever funds he left in the bank when he and his Sunreaver kind betrayed us.

Slay Magister Brasael.

Magister Brasael: Blast … the Silver Covenant’s here.

Vereesa Windrunner: I suppose it wasn’t enough for him to be a coward and a backstabber … he had to be a greedy thief as well.

Hmph. The Horde and the Sunreavers aren’t all that different. They deserve one another.

What Had To Be Done

Vereesa Windrunner: Thank you for your aid today, (name). I will be handling the purge from here on out.

Jaina has gone off to Stormwind, to meet with Varian. She asked for your attendance.

Speak with King Varian Wrynn in Lion’s Landing.

You: I’m ready to return to Pandaria.

King Varian Wrynn: I can’t fault you for following orders. In fact, I can’t really fault Jaina for acting on her own behalf, for once.

But still … we aren’t playing a game here. We are dealing with war, with people’s lives, with the future of the Alliance itself.

At the very least, we now have the Kirin Tor on our side. Today will be remembered by all as a victory for the Alliance.

(Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress – The Purge of Dalaran)

King Varian Wrynn: Jaina! What’s happening in Dalaran? Has there been an attack?

Jaina Proudmoore: The Kirin Tor was betrayed from within. I’ve handled the situation.

King Varian Wrynn: How?

Jaina Proudmoore: I’ve purged the Horde from Dalaran. You have what you wanted, Your Majesty: The Kirin Tor belongs to the Alliance.

King Varian Wrynn: But you said-

Jaina Proudmoore: I know what I said. My trust was misplaced.

King Varian Wrynn: What of the Sin’dorei – the Sunreavers?

Jaina Proudmoore: Those that surrendered are being taken to the Violet Hold. I make no guarantees about those who chose to fight.

King Varian Wrynn: Jaina, you need to talk to me before you act-

Jaina Proudmoore: How I run the Kirin Tor is my business.

King Varian Wrynn: I was trying to negotiate with the Sin’dorei. I was opening discussions to bring them into the Alliance! By attacking their people, you’ve forced their hand-

Jaina Proudmoore: They chose their own path.

King Varian Wrynn: You’ve driven them back to the Horde.

Jaina Proudmoore: You’re fooling yourself. Onece Horde, always Horde. I see that now. I’m mobilizing the Kirin Tor.

King Varian Wrynn: Jaina. We’ve got to work together on this. The Alliance must act as one.

Jaina Proudmoore: Don’t get soft on me, Varian.

Return to the Operation: Shieldwall (Alliance) and Dominance Offensive (Horde) Lore Questline Hub.

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall – The Divine Bell

The Ruins of Korune

Admiral Taylor: It’s time for our boldest move yet, (name).

Since you acquired intel on the location of the Divine Bell, we’ve amassed a top team to excavate the artifact without delay.

Commander Sarannha Skyglaive leads the expedition into the northern-most reaches of Kun-Lai Summit.

Join them at once, and use whatever skills you need to make the endeavor a success.

Good luck, (class). I don’t need to tell you how important this mission is to the Alliance.

Speak to Fennie. She’ll get you there quickly.

Find Sarannha Skyglaive at the Ruins of Korune. Speak to Fennie Hornswaggle at Lion’s Landing for transportation.

Fennie Hornswaggle: Hilda’s left all the documedntin’ to me. Ye know that fer every artifact we find, I’ve got six forms ta fill out? Whaddaya we need all these forms fer, I ask!?

You: Take me to the Ruins of Korune.

Fennie Hornswaggle: We ain’t got no time ta lose.

We’ve been lookin’ all over Kun-Lai Summit fer a place that matches what ye saw in that mogu’s memory, and we finally found the Korune’s hidin’ place.

If we don’t get to that Divine Bell first, that lizard-livered nut-brain Garrosh will. I don’t much fancy fightin’ a Horde that commands the power o’ the bleepin’ sha.

Commander Skyglaive is already workin’ with a team of Explorer’s League archaeologists at the dig site.

We’re sendin’ out our best, and that means you.

Here we are. There’s no time to waste.

Good luck!

(Find Sarannha Skyglaive at the Ruins of Korune: 1/1)

Sarannha Skyglaive: We blasted the doors open moments ago, (class). You arrived just in time to join us for the excavation.

The Divine Bell

Sarannha Skyglaive: There’s no telling what lies below, so I will lead the initial scouting party myself.

If your report was correct, then the Korune mogu hid the Divine Bell in the rooms below our very feet.

I have a feeling they would not have left such a precious artifact unguarded.

I could use a capable druid such as yourself to watch my back. Let me know when you’re ready.

Kill Dreadweaver Avartu and recover the Divine Bell.

Sarannha Skyglaive: Stay vigilant, hero. This place has been sealed for centuries. Who knows what we will encounter within.

Dreadweaver Avartu: Light … I see … light. Finally, after centuries of silence, someone comes at last.

I have kept the Bell safe as promised, Master.

Wait … you are not mogu! Intruders!

Guardians, awaken! Destroy those who would steal the Thunder King’s treasure!

Sarannha Skyglaive: What was that thing? No matter. We will strike down any who stand in our way.

Dreadweaver Avartu: Such horror … Such emptiness …

You, too, shall know the silence!

(Recover the Divine Bell: 1/1)

Sarannha Skyglaive: There it is, hero! The Divine Bell!

We must take it somewhere safe. Sentinels! Let’s get to work.

Sarannha Skyglaive: Fantastic work, (name). I could not even imagine the atrocity that Garrosh would commit if this bell were to fall into his hands.

Today, we have secured a safe future for the Alliance. I will see to it that the bell makes it safely to Darnassus.

I will extoll your deeds to the King.

(Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress – The Divine Bell)

Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive – The Purge of Dalaran

The Situation in Dalaran

The night elves learned that the Divine Bell was stolen. This much we anticipated.

However, they’ve also found out that the “neutral” Sunreavers of Dalaran were complicit. Now, we’ve got a situation.

I need you to go to Dalaran. Speak with Kromthar for a ride. You are to rendezvous with Grand Magister Rommath once you arrive.

Speak with Kromthar to obtain a ride to Dalaran.

You: I need to get to Dalaran.

(Obtain ride to Dalaran: 1/1)

(Discovered: Sewer Exit Pipe)

(Discovered: The Underbelly)

Grand Magister Rommath: Good … you’ve arrived. It’s not a good day to be Horde in Dalaran.

Jaina’s called for the exile of all the Sunreavers. You and I are going to save as many as we can – including Archmage Aethas Sunreaver himself – and then get out of here as fast as possible.

It Starts in the Sewers

Grand Magister Rommath: Compared to the rest of the city, this part of the sewers is relatively calm. This is good – we can extract more Sunreavers in peace than we can in war.

Find as many citizens as you can. Tell them that it is not safe here, that they must leave the city at once.

Find as many citizens as you can. Tell them, that it is not safe here, that they must leave the city at once.

And try to stay clear of the Silver Covenant. We don’t want to cause a scene if we can avoid it. Not yet, anyhow.

Evacuate 9 Sunreaver Citizens.

Grand Magister Rommath: Jaina’s gone over the edge. She’s imprisoning the Sunreavers and attacking those who resist. What’s worse, the Silver Covenant has seized the opportunity to join the bloodshed.

Sunreaver Citizen: Have the Silver Covenant lost their mind? Surely the Kirin Tor won’t stand for this!

You: It’s not safe here anymore. You need to evacuate Dalaran.

Sunreaver Citizen: Can the Kirin Tor really kick us out like this?

Sunreaver Citizen: They’ll pay for this.

Silver Covenant Agent: You don’t belong here!

Silver Covenant Agent: Just who do you think YOU are?

Sunreaver Citizen: Leave Dalaran? Where will I even go …

Sunreaver Citizen: They said Lady Proudmoore wanted us out. I … I don’t understand.

You: It’s not safe here anymore. You need to evacuate Dalaran.

Sunreaver Citizen: How could this happen?

Sunreaver Citizen: What is all this nonsense about a “purge”?

You: It’s not safe here anymore. You need to evacuate Dalaran.

Silver Covenant Agent: The Sunreavers are scum!

Sunreaver Citizen: I think it may be time to bring my swords out of retirement …

Sunreaver Citizen: They’ll pay for this.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Be silenced, Sunreaver!

Silver Covenant Agent: You want some, too? Very well!

Sunreaver Citizen: I guess I can head back to Silvermoon …

Sunreaver Citizen: Don’t have to tell me twice – I’ve got debts in this city I’d like to leave behind.

Grand Master Rommath: Let’s press on.

Violence in the Arena

Grand Magister Rommath: As I suspected, it gets worse up ahead. The Silver Covenant is outright attacking innocent Sunreavers!

This cannot stand. While our prime directive is to rescue Aethas Sunreaver, we must also protect as many blood elves as we can.

I will continue to scout ahead. Fight well, (class)!

Slay 6 Silver Covenant Enforcers and 4 Silver Covenant Spellbows.

Grand Magister Rommath: It’s chaos up there. We need to save whoever we can, and we’ll need to move quickly.

Grand Magister Rommath: So much bloodshed! In a place of peace!

Jaina has gone too far this time.

Hand of the Silver Covenant

Grand Magister Rommath: Every Sunreaver Jaina expels from this city is a new blade that fights for the Horde. For US.

I’m off to gather more strong elves. You’ve proven your hand in combat thus far – go take care of that creep in the black market.

When you’re done, we’ll meet at the ramp and prepare to go aboveground.

Slay Sorin Magehand

Grand Magister Rommath: The first stage of our mission is complete. That was the easy part.

(Rommath takes a deep, measured breath, then continues …)

A Tactical Assault

Grand Magister Rommath: If we’re to survive up above ground, we’re going to need a base of operations.

I’m going to try to take the center of the city. It’s risky, but hopefully Jaina and the Silver Covenant won’t expect it.

Stay by my side now, (Name).

Follow Grand Magister Rommath into the center of Dalaran.

Grand Magister Rommath: Wait for my command …

Grand Magister Rommath: Go go go go! To the center of the city! This way!

Grand Magister Rommath: Now, let’s move quickly.

Move quickly, but carefully, (Name). We don’t have much time, but this mission dies if you do.

The Silver Covenant’s Stronghold

Grand Magister Rommath: I have it on good authority that Archmage Aethas Sunreaver is being held in the Silver Enclave, home of the Silver Covenant. Arcanist Rathaella holds him in captivity.

Most Covenant agents are out slaughtering Sunreavers right now, which means our chance is ripe. Slay Rathaella, and spring Aethas from his prison.

Slay Arcanist Rathaella.

Grand Magister Rommath: We will continue saving Sunreavers for a while longer, Aethas’ location may become clearer as we press on.

Krasus’ Landing

Grand Magister Rommath: We can rescue as many Sunreavers as we want, but if they can’t escape, then there’s no point.

The Silver Covenant will certainly be subduing and killing the Sunreavers’ dragonhawks. Put a stop to it.

Free 6 Sunreaver Dragonhawks.

Grand Magister Rommath: Well done, (Name). Well done.

The Kirin Tor’s True Colors

Grand Magister Rommath: Any pretense that the Kirin Tor might have had at being a “neutral” group can officially be discarded. I’m now hearing that Jaina’s got Alliance troops stowed away near Antonida’s Memorial.

The area’s free of Sunreavers, but it still makes my blood boil to see such blatant favoritism from the Kirin Tor.

Go visit the memorial, (Name) … and give those Alliance dogs a good kick on your way through.

Slay Lieutenant Corwin and 10 of his troops.

Grand Magister Rommath: Thank you for that, (Name).

It unsettles me to have to fight directly with the high elves of the Silver Covenant … but I never tire of slaying Alliance.

The Remaining Sunreavers

Grand Magister Rommath: There’s still a number of significant Sunreavers who haven’t been accounted for. Odds are that they’re in the Sunreaver’s Sanctuary, caught by surprise.

(Rommath hands you an artifact, clearly made by blood elf hands.)

The place is crawling with Silver Covenant. You’ll need to get in, use the Tear to evacuate the VIPs, and then get out.

Stay alive, (Name).

Use the Tear of the Sin’dorei on Uda the Beast, High Arcanist Savor, Magister Hathorel, Magister Surdiel, and Magistrix Vesara.

Magistrix Vesara: Jaina is taking away my home by force? I’ll remember this …

(Rescue Magistrix Vesara: 1/1)

Magister Surdiel: I hope the Horde has a place for another mage …

(Rescue Magister Surdiel: 1/1)

High Arcanist Savor: So long, Dalaran …

(Rescue High Arcanist Savor: 1/1)

Uda the Beast: Come on, girls. You’ve had your share of meat for the day.

(Rescue Uda the Beast: 1/1)

Magister Hathorel: Thank you, (Name). See you in Silvermoon …

(Rescue Magister Hathorel: 1/1)

Grand Magister Rommath: Excellent. They should be waiting for us in Silvermoon when we return.

One Last Grasp

Grand Magister Rommath: We’ve looked everywhere he’s likely to be, except for one place: the Violet Citadel.

Find out if Archmage Aethas is being held within the citadel, (name). We may get lucky. If not … at least we saved a number of lives today.

Slay Mage-Commander Zuros, then escape from Dalaran.

Note: After slaying Zuros, Rommath appears and opens a portal.

Grand Magister Rommath: Aethas, this way! Into the portal!

(Enter the Portal)

Grand Magister Rommath: Stay by me! We’re going out the tunnel!

Grand Magister Rommath: Stay by my side!

(Escape Dalaran: 1/1)

(Note: Aethas and Rommath walk down the sewer pipe of Dalaran, and jump to skydive. The player must jump too. A Dragonhawk spawns to catch you mid-air.)

(Note: This is not the same Dalaran City floating above Crystalsong Forest in Northrend. This copy of Dalaran City is instanced. It’s floating in the sky and moving through The Great Sea.)

(Speculation: Because of this, it’s likely possible Blizzard Entertainment might be planning to move Dalaran City at some point in the future back to Lordaeron … or to Pandaria? Only time will tell.)

Lor’themar Theron: Is this … (name)? What’s going on here?

(Dominance Offensive Achievement Progress: The Purge of Dalaran)

Lor’themar Theron: Aethas! You’re alive.

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: Thanks to this hero, a few of us made it out of there. Many more have been sent to the Violet Hold.

Lor’themar Theron: Anar’alash denal! Will someone tell me WHAT is going on in Dalaran?

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: Proudmoore! She’s gone and expelled the Sunreavers from the city. She’s purging the Horde from the Kirin Tor!

Lor’themar Theron: She’s gone too far. I’m certain the Alliance can move their war mages through the city at will. That human … witch!

When will they learn? When will they see that the Horde exists BECAUSE of the Alliance? Because of their prejudice and their bigotry!? They force us ever closer to Hellscream’s Horde.

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: My Lord …

Lor’themar Theron: Hal’duron, summon the rangers. Rommath, assemble the Blood Magi, and add the Sunreaver’s strength to your own.

We Sin’dorei will take our future into our own hands. And get this damn thing (The Divine Bell) out of my sight! Hellscream bought his treasure with the blood of my people. I hope it destroys him.

Grand Magister Rommath: My Lord. YOU would make a fine Warchief.

Lor’themar Theron: It may come to that. Bring me my blades. The next move is mine.

Return to the Patch 5.1 Landfall Quest Hub Page for the entire storyline.

Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive – The Darnassus Operation

General Nazgrim: (Name)! You’ll do perfectly.

We know where the Alliance have hidden the Divine Bell. We’ve already inserted an agent into enemy territory, we just need you to help him execute his mission.

Pack up, (name). You’re headed to Darnassus.

Use the Sunreaver Portal in Domination Point to secure a teleport to Darnassus.

(Take the portal to Darnassus: 1/1)

Fanlyr Silverthorn: (Name)! So glad Nazgrim selected you.

It’s taken a great deal of the Horde’s effort to get you here through Jaina’s traps. Maintaining our illusion this close to Darnassus is considerably expensive.

Furthermore, the Sunreavers of Dalaran are risking their neutrality by assisting the Horde with this operation.

In other words, we expect only the best from you.

Darnassus Mission

Fanlyr Silverthorn: The Divine Bell is in the city. We don’t want to cause a scene, we just want the artifact. I need you to find a way in, WITHOUT getting caught. That means no mounts, no flying, no fighting.

I can provide aid. I will magically cloak you, so you may move with stealth. I will also give you a small charm that you may use to return to safety, should you get in trouble.

Now go, (name). Go, locate the bell, and tag it to be teleported back with you.

Locate the Divine Bell.

You may use the Silvermoon Charm to return to Fanlyr if you get in trouble.

Fanlyr Silverthorn: We’ll have to tread carefully with all this teleporting in and out. We CANNOT risk Jaina finding out about this.

Are you ready to go in?

Fanlyr Silverthorn: Stay away from the guards! This spell should shield you from the night elves’ vision, but you’ll still need to keep your distance. If you get into trouble, return to safety here.

Note: You must enter the tunnels found within the Cenarion Enclave tree. The access door is at the roots. The following message is seen onscreen when you enter the tunnel.

(Find the Cenarion Enclave: 1/1)

(Locate the Divine Bell: 1/1)

Note: Click the Sunreaver’s Portal Charm icon located at the bottom-center of your screen to teleport back to Fanlyr Silverthorn.

Fanlyr Silverthorn: Be careful, (name). We can’t risk being caught.

Fanlyr Silverthorn: Well executed, (race)! I knew we could count on you.

Now to get off this wretched tree.

Victorious Return

Fanlyr Silverthron: The portal by my side will return you safely to Domination Point. I will return behind you; I must clean up our tracks a bit before we leave, so that Proudmoore doesn’t discover our involvement.

Report your success to Nazgrim at Domination Point in Krasarang Wilds.

General Nazgrim: You found the bell! And Fanlyr teleported it to Silvermoon for study, as instructed? The Horde will put this to good use.

You have done the Horde a great service today. Lok’tar, friend!

Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive Achievement – The Divine Bell

The Ruins of Korune

General Nazgrim: Garrosh sent a hundred riders to search the northern coast of Kun-Lai Summit, to seek a mogu crypt matching the one you saw in Shan Kien’s memory.

Out of those, one found the resting place of the Divine Bell.

Blademaster Ishi is leading an advance party to secure the bell now.

Go and assist him. Defend that artifact from anyone who might stand in your way!

Speak to Tak-Tak without delay. He can take you there.

Find Ishi at the Ruins of Korune. Speak to Tak-Tak at Domination Point for transportation.

Tak-Tak: Somethin’ smell funny.

(Take me to the Ruins of Korune.)

Tak-Tak: You know, they sayin’ your name all over camp!

Horde at camp buzzin’. Everybody workin’.

Since you saw Shan Kien’s memory, they been sendin’ scouting parties out.

And now, it looks like they found where the mogu hid that bell.

Good luck. I hope you find that bell.

(Find Ishi at the Ruins of Korune: 1/1)

Blademaster Ishi: The Alliance beat us here. How could this happen?

The Divine Bell

Blademaster Ishi: If the Alliance throught they could steal the Divine Bell from us, they were wrong!

Even now, we have them trapped in the crypts beneath us.

Death will be the price they pay for defying us.

Come, (class). Let us show them the error of their ways.

Kill Sarannha Skyglaive

Blademaster Ishi: This smells like a trap, but we have no time to lose. Let’s go!

Sarannha Skyglaive: Horde. It’s a shame you were so slow to get here. The Divine Bell is already ours. Rangers! STRIKE!

Note: There are four elite Skyglaive Archer. And the floor has several traps.

If all four attack, run back upstairs. Wait until they reset. Then go downstairs and pick them one by one.

The cloud-image tilesets are safe. The arrow tilesets trigger arrows from the roof. The yellow ones do a lot of lightning damage. The red tilesets set you afire and debuff you.

On the next vault, the roof is falling hard on the ground. There are two Nigh Elf archers on the opposite side of the room. Use a range ability or gun/throw weapon to lure them. The roof stops crashing down.

The next room has a lot of mogu statues. This is a heck of a trap. All the statues will drop their hammers on the ground creating a long AOE line. Run through nonstop. If you got any speed abilities use them.

On the other side, there are four elite Skyglaive Sentinels. They got to kill me really fast with melee attacks (18k per hit). I haven’t tested this, but maybe the statues kill them for you.

Sarannha Skyglaive: Arg! My archers should have stopped you! Sentinels! Now!

Note: The stairs, and all the way to the lower floor is full of statues who will trigger an AOE line of hammers. There are some rest points if you need to recover from speed boost cooldowns.

Sarannha Skyglaive: Very well! I’ll face you myself. This is for the Alliance!

Be careful with her nasty AOE ability.

(Sarannha Skyglaive slain: 1/1)

Sarannha Skyglaive: My death … means … nothing. The Divine Bell is already in Darnassus. You filthy Horde … will never … have it!

Blademaster Ishi: Darnassus, is it?

The Alliance believes they have won the day. Now, when their arrogance is at its greatest, is our opportunity to pluck the prize from their fingers.

Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive – Secrets of the Past

The Kun-Lai Summit

General Nazgrim: I have another message for you from High Chieftain Bloodhoof.

It seems you’ve made quite the impression on him.

He travels with the Warchief’s vanguard into Kun-Lai Summit, to the north. They have set up an outpost, Garrosh’ar Advance, just east of One Keg.

You had best not keep him waiting. Speak to Tak-Tak for swift travel.

Find Baine Bloodhoof at Garrosh’ar Advance. Speak to Tak-Tak at Domination Point for transportation.

Tak-Tak: So many places, so little time. Where to, brother?

(Take me to Garrosh’ar Advance.)

Tak-Tak: Yo. I ain’t seen you in a lick, wikket. How you been? Tak-Tak been listenin’. Everybody think oh, Tak-Tak is a stupid hozen, he don’t know anything.

But Tak-Tak know a lot about things!

Even big orc general, Nazgrim! He talk so loud! Tak-Tak hear everything!

Tak-Tak know this …

Lor’themar elf ranger thinkin’ about leavin’ the Horde!

Baine wonderin’ if Garrosh might not be fit for chief.

And Garrosh is losin’ patience over findin’ that ookin’ bell. Those mogu hide it good!

I hear, Garrosh is goin’ to torture that mogu prisoner until he talks.

Anyway, you goin’ that way.

Tell me if you find anything out, buddy!

(Find Baine Bloodhoof at Garrosh’ar Advance: 1/1)

Garrosh Hellscream: I am losing patience, Shan Kien. Tell me where I can find the Divine Bell!

Ishi, draw your blade. A few carefully delivered cuts will change his mind.

Baine Bloodhoof: Garrosh, please. There may be another way. One that requires no bloodshed.

Garrosh Hellscream: Speak, then!

Baine Bloodhoof: I have learned how to make an ancient pandaren tincture that will allow us to see into Shan Kien’s past. We have but to gather the elements for this brew.

Baine Bloodhoof: Thank you for coming, (name).

Ties with the Past

Baine Bloodhoof: While I was in the Vale, I came across an ancient pandaren recipe for Memory Wine. I believe this brew can coax some helpful information out of Shan Kien.

I am needed here, so I have no choice but to ask you to recover the essential ingredient for me. We need the spirit essence of a mogu that lived in the time of the memory we wish to see.

You should be able to find just such a spirit inside the Path of Conquerors, to the northeast.

Recover the Spirit Essence of Varatus.

Note: Fly to the Path of Conquerors. Coordinates: [63.5 – 50.8] — land and dismount. Walk through the tunnel. You will find three Vengeful Soul. Kill them.

Varatus the Conqueror is in the next room. This is a very rough fight. Blow all your cooldown abilities and trinkets on this guy. Once you are surrounded by a vortex, this NPC creates several room-wide criss-cross walls in all directions. If caught, these can do a lot of damage. Use the doorways to hide from most of the damage.

First time I saw this ability, I totally went into panic mode, and died. Next time, memorizing all I saw, determined the best way to avoid damage is to use the doorway’s corners to line-of-sight some of those walls of damage. Staying in the middle of the room is a world of hurt. 41,000 damage per hit.

Ties with the Past: You never know what you will find in a book. Especially an ancient pandaren one.

I’m eager to see how this Memory Wine works.

Well done. Now I will just add a hair from our prisoner, Shan Kien, and combine the ingredients.

Memory Wine

Baine Bloodhoof: The tincture is ready. Now, drink.

Drink the Memory Wine and witness Shan Kien’s Past.

Memory Wine: Use: Witness a vision from Shan Kien’s past. “The wine smells of a dozen flavors and spices, all at once nauseating and enticing …”

(Drink the Memory Wine: 1/1)

(In-Game Cutscene plays)

Shan Kien: Are the preparations complete?

Dreadweaver Avartu: Yes, Warlord. The traps are set. The Divine Bell will be safe within this crypt, ready for the day that the Thunder King returns.

We have but to evacuate the workers and the rest of our warriors.

Shan Kien: There is no time. The Shado-Pan trackers are too close. They cannot learn the location of the Bell.

Dreadweaver Avartu: Very well, then. May the ghosts of our brothers guard this place for all eternity.

Shan Kien: Their sacrifice will not be in vain.

And neither, Avartu, will yours.

Note: Shan Kien kicks Avartu back into the Ruins of Korune, and creates an avalanche on the entrance to the underground vault.

(Witness Shan Kien’s Past: 1/1)

Baine Bloodhoof: What did you see, (class)?

Baine Bloodhoof: You have seen where this Divine Bell is hidden? Very good. Garrosh will be pleased. We will try to locate the site you describe, and will contact you as soon as we find it.

(Dominance Offensive Achievement Progress: Secrets of the Past)

From: Vol’jin

Subject: The Divine Bell

Garrosh be looking for “The Divine Bell.” The Shado-Pan heard of it. Say it never been found. Tell me it should stay that way.

But the Alliance come here just this morning. Asking questions. Looking for the same Bell. What can we do, (name)? I rather see it in Horde hands.

Still too weak to move. You going to have to handle this one.

    – Voljin

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall – The Voice of the Gods

He’s In Deep

Admiral Taylor: Agent Connelly has managed to infiltrate Garrosh’s camp in Kun-Lai! He’s been following their every move.

Connelly requested you specifically to assist him in gathering some vital intelligence.

He sent along a disguise for you. Make sure you put it on before approaching the camp! It will no doubt be heavily guarded.

He insists you will know him when you see him. Something about your keen eye for details …

Go talk to Fennie over there for a drop-off.

Meet Connelly in Kun-Lai Summit. Speak to Fennie Hornswaggle at Lion’s Landing for transportation.

Fennie Hornswaggle: Off! Well I sure am in a tizzy today. Got eighty irons in tha fire just abouts!

(Take me to Fire Camp Bataar)

Fennie Hornswaggle: Oh my. Ye must be the hero that everyone’s been tellin’ me about.

Oops, how do ye fly one o’ these things? Fer light’s sake! Ye crummy piece o’ whackery, WORK!

Sorry, I’m still gettin’ the hang o’ things ’round here.

My older sister, Hilda, told me to expect ye.

She won’t let me go down to the excavation, so I’ve become somethin’ o’ a personal assistant and chauffeur.

Anyway, I met that SI:7 agent that you brought back outta retirement.

Agent Connelly, ain’t it? That man’s got some charm … and some nerve! His sweet words made me blush ten ways out of Ironforge!

He’s out in the field now, and waitin’ fer ya special.

I’m takin’ you close ta a Horde encampment though, so you’d best be on yer guard.

Let Connelly know that Fennie’s askin’ about him!

(Find Connelly in Kun-Lai Summit: 1/1)

Cousin Goottooth: Pssssst! Hey, over here, it’s me, Agent Connelly! Don’t blow our disguise!

Cousin Goottooth: You’ve arrived just in time. From the intel I’ve gathered, Garrosh is hot on the trail of some sort of ancient mogu artifact of power.

If we can figure out what he’s after, we can stop him from getting it!

We have to act fast to gather as much information as possible.

Bugging Out

Cousin Goottooth: I’ve managed to plant a few bugs around the camp, but there could always be more.

I disguised the bugs to look like statues. They blend in perfectly with the other artifacts lying around.

Your disguise should allow you to move freely around the camp. Just don’t go near the dog and don’t linger around Garrosh! Nero and Garrosh will see through your disguise.

If you get caught I can’t help you. I can’t compromise the mission!

(Large Tent Bugged: 1/1)

Plant the Cleverly Disguised Bugs in the large tent, near the small tents, and in the supplies.

Note: On your Quest Tracker or your Inventory Bag click the [Grummle Disguise Kit]. You will see interactive icons above the tiny mogu statues in the big tent, the small tent on the left side of Garrosh, and by the crates to the south.

(Supplies Bugged: 1/1)

Nero and Garrosh walk back and forth through the camp. If they get near you, the disguise is compromised, and everyone nearby will attack you.

(Small Tent Bugged: 1/1)

Cousin Goottooth: Well done! Everyone always underestimates the little guys and it is always a grave mistake!

He Won’t Even Miss It

Cousin Goottooth: I’ve noticed Garrosh and that Reliquary blood elf carrying around some sort of journal.

The journal is never more than a stone’s throw away. It must be important!

If you can cause enough of a distraction, you may be able to swipe the journal off the table.

These yaks might just do the trick. Give one of ’em a tap and they’ll do the rest.

Just be ready to move fast!

Create a distraction in the camp and steal the Weathered Journal.

Note: Click the [Grummle Disguise Kit]. You will see the three Yaks inside Garrosh’s camp glittering with green sparkles. Hover your mouse on them and click all three Yaks. They will start running awild and tackling the Kor’kron Guards and Garrosh.

Best approach is to go behind the wagon to reach behind the big tent, and take the tablet from the table.

The dog and Garrosh can still see through your disguise if they get near you. They walk and stand in front of the table. Be careful and swift.

(Weathered Journal: 1/1)

Cousin Goottooth: What did you find?

[Weathered Journal]: “The pages of this dust-covered journal are ragged and hard to read.”

In the one-hundred-and-seventieth year of the Thunder King’s reign, the Korune spellweavers came to Lei Shen with their greatest creation.

A bell cast from the maker’s flesh, shaped by stars’ fire, and bound by the breath of darkest shadow. This bell, when run, could shake the world and call to the heavens.

Taken to war, the bell’s cacophonous tones stirred the hearts of Lei Shen’s warriors. It fueled their hatred and anger, lending them strength on the field of battle. The bell’s screaming voice struck fear and doubt into the hearts of the Emperor’s enemies, sending them fleeing in his path.

Awed by its power, the Thunder King described the instrument as “the voice of the gods,” and named it Shenqing, the Divine Bell.

Cousin Goottooth: Phew! That was a close one! I never doubted you for a minute though.

Now let me take a look at that journal …

(Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress: The Voice of the Gods)

Cousin Goottooth: So Garrosh is looking for something called the Divine Bell? Whatever that is, it can’t be good. I’ll get this information back to headquarters.

Excellent work! I’ll be in touch soon.

Go back to the Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall Quests Hub.

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall – Scenario: Lion’s Landing

The Horde has infiltrated Lion’s Landing. You must rescue all surviving able hands and rally them to the front gates of Lion’s Landing to hold back the Horde reinforcements. Protect Lion’s Landing.

Scenario: Lion’s Landing

Note: A Bloodhilt Grunt and a Battlemage are attacking Daggin Windbeard. The Battlemage might cast polymorph. Attack him first, and interrupt.

Daggin Wingbeard: Some day we’re havin’, eh?

Me poor gryphons …

(Fight with us.)

Daggin Wingbeard: Let’s do this!

(1/1 Join Daggin Wingbeard)

Note: There are two Horde groups nearby by the tents. Both can be completely ignored as they aren’t part of the objectives. Jump from the side of the hill to the left and intercept the patrol coming up.

Go downstairs toward the Docks. Three Bloodhilt Grunt and one Battlemage move toward the stairs. Kill the Battlemage first to disable its polymorph.

Turn to the right going north. Don’t need to get into the boats. Ignore those. On the mini-map you will see a dialogue bubble.

There’s a group of three Grunts and one Lightsworn next. Kill the healer first.

The next group is attacking Admiral Taylor.

Admiral Taylor: They attacked our ships from below, and will advance on the keep at any moment!

We don’t have the numbers to stop them …

(Fight with us.)

Admiral Taylor: We’ll hold Lion’s Landing or die trying!

Enter the Lion’s Landing Court. On the mini-map you will see three skull icons. You must slay these three groups to continue to the next stage. There is a group of three Bloodhilt Grunts and one Bloodhilt Wolf-Sister near the gates. Kill the Shaman and its Earthbind Totem.

(1/1 South Attackers slain)

The East Attackers and the North Attackers consist of two Bloodhilt Raider, two Bloodhilt Wolf and one Bloodhilt Worlf-Sister (Shaman). Kill the shaman (casts totems), then the wolves (they stun), then the raiders.

(1/1 East Attackers slain)

(1/1 North Attackers slain)

High Marshal Twinbraid: If Bloodhilt thinks a few reinforcements are going to be enough to take Lion’s Landing, he’s got another thing coming!

(We’re here to help.)

High Marshal Twinbraid: Good timing, too. Here comes the assault’s commander! Ready up, lads!

High Marshal Twinbraid stations himself behind the blockades. Look closely to the west side of the blockades. There’s a chest with a glowing icon. From time to time, players should check it out. A random chest will spawn there throughout the scenario. One of the buffs is a renew to heal yourself.

A wave of nine mobs come through the blockade: Three Raiders, One Wolf-Sister (shaman), two Wolf, Wolf-Rider Gaja and Gaja’s War-Wolf.

Ideally, kill the totems, then the Shaman, then the wolves, and then Gaja.

(1/1 Assault Commander slain)

In the fifth stage, players must gather reports from Amber, Mishka and Sully.

The mini-map reveals their location through dialogue bubble icons.

Amber Kearnen: There’s too much smoke in the air to see very far.

I can’t make out much of anything on the beach, and sniping’s useless.

(Fight with us)

Amber Kearnen: I’ll keep you covered.

(1/1 Amber’s Report gathered)

Sully “The Pickle” McLeary: Let’s get to work!

(1/1 Sully’s report gathered)

Mishka: I’ve done all I can for the wounded here. Twinbraid has all the bodies he’ll get.

I’m defending the injured … unless you have a better plan?

(Fight with us.)

Mishka: Time to operate.

(1/1 Mishka’s report gathered)

When you return to the area you talked earlier to High Marshal Twinbraid, you will notice three green arrows hovering on the ground. Looking closely, you’ll notice three transparent weapon racks. Click them to enable them.

Players gain a new ability icon onscreen. The Boomstick stuns enemies. The Reaver Bombs do AOE damage and stuns (Tip: throwing these after a player uses the Boomstick causes 50% additional damage). The Rockets disorient the targets.

Players must click all three to continue to the next stage.

  • 1/1 Reaver Bombs placed
  • 1/1 Boomsticks placed
  • 1/1 Rockets placed

This stage makes this scenario kinda unique. The final boss will be random each time you play this scenario. So far I have seen a Blood Elf battlemage. The second run I faced a Tauren mounting a Kodo.

High Marshal Twinbraid: Be ready! They’ll charge any moment now.

Here they come! HOLD FAST!

Note: The objective of this final stage is to Hold the Line.

There are three waves, and the final Horde Commander encounter.

    • 0/1 Wave One slain
    • 0/1 Wave Two slain
    • 0/1 Wave Three slain
    • 0/1 Horde Commander slain

The first wave has eight Bloodhilt Grunt, One Dreadguard Cavalry (Forsaken on steed), and two Bloodhilt Lightsworn.

Kill the two Lightsworn healers, then the grunts, then the Dreadguard.

(1/1 Wave One slain)

High Marshal Twinbraid: That’s how we do it, lads! Here comes more!

(1/1 Wave Two slain)

High Marshal Twinbraid: Keep on fighting, lads! DON’T GIVE UP!

The third wave has five elite Deathguard Cavalry, and two Bloodhilt Grunt. Kill the grunts first (non-elite).

This wave can be a pain in the neck. All five Deathguard Cavalry charge and stun. Keep them rooted if possible, and stay within melee range to prevent the charge/stun.

(1/1 Wave Three slain)

High Marshal Twinbraid: This is it! Their final assault! FOR LION’S LANDING!

Note: In my encounter, Thaumaturge Saresse spawned (random boss). With her came six Bloodhilt Grunt, and two Bloodhilt Battlemage.

Get rid of the Battlemage first. You don’t want to be polymorphed and spanked by nine mobs. I didn’t see much of trouble fighting this boss. The Tauren boss was more of a challenge.

(1/1 Horde Commander slain)

(Scenario Complete! Lion’s Landing)

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall – Scenario: Assault on Zan’vess

The Alliance has discovered the Horde wants to steal the Mantid’s weapons cache from Zan’vess. Your mission is to take down the sonic shield surrounding Zan’vess Island, and to secure these weapons before the Horde does.

Assault on Zan’vess (Alliance

Sky Admiral Rogers: Just in time, (name)! We need your help.

The situation is dire, (name).

The Horde are after a cache of mantid weapons near the Heart of Zan’vess. I don’t know what they intend to do with them but I’m not about to wait around and find out.

I need you to get through the shield that enshrouds the island and secure those weapons before the horde does. Take a gyrocopter and head out to teh island. I’ll send further orders while you are en route.

Note: Click one of the Skyfire Gyrocopters on the deck. It flies a pre-programmed path. All you have to do is point and click “1” on your keyboard to shoot missiles down to the towers, scorpids, or Mantid casters.

Sky Admiral Rogers (Static) Come in, (name), this is Sky Admiral Rogers.

The whole island is protected by a sonic shield, (name).

My scouts report the shield is maintained by several generators around the island.

I need you to take them out before the horde overrun us.

Sky Admiral Rogers: You’re approaching the first towers now! Take them out!

  • 0/1 Destroy the Kyparite Quarry Sonic Control Towers

  • 0/1 Destroy the Whispering Stones Sonic Control Towers

  • 0/1 Destroy the Venomsting Pits Sonic Control Towers

(1/1 Destroy the Kyparite Quarry Sonic Control Towers)

Sky Admiral Rogers: Good shot, (name)! Keep aiming for those bombs.

They’ve got a lock on you! Shields! SHIELDS!

Note: Use Force Shield (press “2”) to block Guided Missiles.

Sky Admiral Rogers: Nice one, (name)! That was close.

Sky Admiral Rogers: Nice shooting, (name)! The shield is weakening!

Those Mantid are protecting the towers, (name). Take them out or we won’t be able to land any shots.

(1/1 Destroy the Whispering Stones Sonic Control Towers)

Sky Admiral Rogers: I’m sending you the coordinates of the next towers now.

Those scorpid are moving the towers! Take them out!

Note: The scorpid are moving kinda fast. Targeting the scorpid only causes the missiles to miss by a few yards. Best strategy is to shoot a few yards in front of them to time when the missiles hit them. The towers stand still when the scorpids die.

(1/1 Destroy the Venomsting Pits Sonic Control Towers)

Sky Admiral Rogers: The shield is down! Quickly get to the beachhead!

0/1 Defeat Squad Leader Bosh
0/1 Reach the Heart of Zan’vess

Note: In this stage you fight the Horde who also want to steal the Mantid’s weapons cache.

The first pull consists of five mobs: three Kor’kron Infiltrator and two Kor’kron Priest.

Kill the priests asap, then the Infiltrators.

You will notice in the video there are several gigantic red-lined circles appearing on the ground. Move away from them. Those are Horde gunships in the sky aiming to drop missiles on players.

It’s a good idea to pull this group down the path you came from. Squad Leader Bosh patrols the area, and eventually walks where the group was standing at — aggoing in the process.

Our tank died when the boss aggroed. The boss has a helluva wide AOE in the shape of a cone up to 40 yards away. The graphics look like a massive earthquake of dust. You have about 2 seconds to move away. This ability does 50% health damage. Keep everyone max healed.

Squad Leader Bosh also has a whirlwind that looks like a tornado.

Note: Commander Tel’vrak at some point summons several explosive amber bombs to his feet. He will randomly throw them at players. Got a couple of seconds to move away.

Players who can run fast, or heal or have aoe crowd control abilities should be on aggroing mobs. Every few seconds a wave of several mantid come from the two roads leading up to the top of the hill.

It’s not even worth attacking them. More keep coming. Just burn the boss, and kite the adds/heal through their damage while dotting the boss/crowd control as many as you can as you go. Don’t waste time DPSing adds.

Use the bonus ability button that appears onscreen — Strafing Run: Instant. Calls for a bombing run at the target location. 45 sec cooldown.

Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive – Scenario: Assault on Zan’Vess

Scenario: Assault on Zan’Vess

Rear Admiral Zigg: (Name), report for duty immediately!

You’re late, (name).

Let’s get right to the point. Our latest recon shows the last of Shek’zeer’s forces are holed up at the heart of the island. They’re protecting a large weaposn cache that Garrosh has ordered us to retrieve. Problem is they’ve activated the island’s defenses, a massive impenetrable shield that enshrouds all of Zan’vess.

This is where you come in. I need you to take one of these gunships and shoot down the shield generators. As long as they’re active none of our forces can reach the weapons cache.

Note: Mount the Kor’kron Gunship. The airplanes are strapped to the sides of the boat. Jump and click. The airplanes move on a programmed path. All you have to do is point and click by pressing “1”. Click on the pillars, and the Mantid casters near pillars. Press “2” to activate the shields when your airplane is targeted with a red bullseye. That means Alliance gunships targeted you. When hit, your weapon system is disabled for a few seconds.

Kor’kron Pilot: We’ve got our work cut out for us, (name).

Shield generators all over the island are protecting the Heart of Zan’vess, preventing us from reaching the weapons cache.

If we don’t get this shield down soon we’re going to be overrun.

We’re going in! Take out those towers!

Aim for those amber bombs, they’ll cause a huge explosion if we manage to set one off!

Good shot, (name)! Keep aiming for those bombs.

0/1 Destroy the Kyparite Quarry Sonic Control Towers

0/1 Destroy the Whispering Stones Sonic Towers

0/1 Destroy the Venomsting Pits Sonic Control Towers

Kor’kron Pilot: Missile incoming! Shields! SHIELDS!

Use Force Shield to block Guided Missiles.

Nice one, (name)! That was close.

(1/1 Destroy the Kyparite Quarry Sonic Control Towers.)

Nice work! The shield looks like it’s weakening.

Those Mantid are protecting the towers, (name). Take them out or we won’t be able to land any shots.

Note: The Mantid casters are shielding the towers. Kill the four of them on each tower to disable the shield. Then destroy the towers.

(1/1 Destroy the Whispering Stones Sonic Towers.)

Kor’kron Pilot: Only a few more towers and that whole thing is coming down!

Kor’kron Pilot: The shield is down! Nice work, (name)! I’ll take us to the beachhead.

  • 0/1 Defeat Team Leader Scooter
  • 0/1 Reach the Heart of Zan’vess

Note: In this stage you fight the Alliance who also want a shot at stealing the Mantid’s weapons cache.

The first pull consists of five mobs: three 7th Legion Infiltrator and two 7th Legion Priest.

Kill the priests asap, then the Infiltrators.

You will notice in the video there are several gigantic red-lined circles appearing on the ground. Move away from them. Those are Alliance gunships in the sky aiming to drop missiles on players.

It’s a good idea to pull this group down the path you came from. Team Leader Scooter patrols the area, and eventually walks where the group was standing at — aggoing in the process.

Our tank died when the boss aggroed. The boss has a helluva wide AOE in the shape of a cone up to 40 yards away. The graphics look like a massive earthquake of dust. You have about 2-3 seconds to move away.

Team Leader Scooter also has a whirlwind that looks like a tornado.

Return to the Patch 5.1 Horde Dominance Offensive Quests Hub.

Patch 5.1 Scenario: A Little Patience (Alliance)

A Little Patience

Admiral Taylor: King Varian needs decisive adventurers to help him resolve a showdown between Tyrande Whisperwind and a detachment of Horde warriors holed up in the Temple of the Red Crane.

Report to him immediately!

Enter the “A Little Patience” scenario and report to King Varian Wrynn.

Scenario: A Little Patience

(Cutscene Begins)

Tyrande Whisperwind: We have them cornered inside the temple. We should strike now!

King Varian Wrynn: Things are rarely what they seem, Tyrande. And my son tells me this is a sacred place.

Tyrande Whisperwind: All the more reason to purify it.

King Varian Wrynn: They’re defending a fixed position. I’m not going to play their game. We’ll draw them out.

Tyrande Whisperwind: You are wasting precious time.

Chi-Ji: A test! A trial of patience. Will the wolf behave as a warrior … or a King?

King Varian Wrynn: Welcome to the jungle, (name).

(Orders, your majesty?)

King Varian Wrynn: Good to see you again, (name).

Take the laborers from camp here, and any others you can find in the region. Assist them in building defenses to ensure no Horde can escape our vengeance.

One more thing. These troops are not trained for battle and must be protected from harm if they are to succeed.

Now go, and be quick about it. Time is running out!

A Little Patience

King Varian Wrynn: Good to see you again, name).

We have a delicate situation on our hands here. We need to plan our next moves carefully.

Note: After taking the quest, look around for small black tool chests. Loot the “Laborer’s Tool”

Laborer’s Tool: Use the Laborer’s Tool at any construction site for a progress boost!

King Varian Wrynn: Force them into bottlenecks. Let them think they can win …

Rosey Axlerod: What can I do for ya, handsome?

(We must let no Horde escape this place. Any ideas?)

Rosey Axlerod: Oh, we know just the thing …

Squad! Initiate Operation: Cackleberry!

Note: Five Gnomes on Mechano-striders follow Rosey Axlerod toward the center of the map. There are Kor’kron Assassins throughout the jungle in stealth-mode.

Kor’kron Assassin: Call for your king, (race)! Draw him in!

Kor’kron Assassin: Your blood will not be the last my blades taste today, (class)!

Kor’kron Assassin: The Commander will have the Alliance king’s head on a spike!

Kor’kron Assassin: Welcome to the jungle, (race). You’re gunna die!

Rosey Axlerod: If pappy could see me now … runnin’ my own crew in service to the king. He’d be gushin’ with pride.

Note: The Gnomes dismount and start to work. Players can see four illuminated spotlights on the ground. From west to east: Snake Oil Boiler (Cauldroun), Gnomish Transformer, Snacks, Heavy Metal Bars.

Kor’kron Assasins = Battle Rations
Muckmaw Crocolisk = Meaty Haunch
Mining Vein = Krasari Iron
Branches = Brittle Root
Spirit-Kissed Sprite = Spirit-Kissed Water

  • Use Battle Rations at any construction site to boost its rate of progress!

  • Use the Meaty Haunch at any construction site to boost its rate of progress!

  • Construction Progress: Rate Increased! (after delivering food supply to the Snack rack)

  • Use the Krasari Iron at the dwarven or gnome construction sites to boost the rate of progress!

  • Spirit-Kissed Water will awaken Master Brownstone, boost progress at pandaren construction site, or increase progress rate at night elf site!

Rosey Axlerod: I documented some special schematics in my journal, but it’s gone missin’. We’ll just hafta make do.

Tyrande Whisperwind: We are wasting time. We should move in for the kill!

King Varian Wrynn: Patience, Tyrande.

King Varian Wrynn: Make use of every resource! Leave them nowhere to run!

Note: A Riverblade Marauder (Saurok) walks in.

Rosey Axlerod: Keep an eye on us, (name)! We’re builders, not fighters. We’ll need your protection if any beasties come around!

King Varian Wrynn: We’re almost ready. Keep on working!

King Varian Wrynn: You three are my eyes and ears. Fan out! Prepare a defense!

King Varian Wrynn: This terrain is ours. Make them pay for every inch.

Duff McStrum: Productivity stops if we’re attacked. Keep an eye on us!

Tyrande Whisperwind: You are being tentative, Varian. You must be decisive if you wish to lead the Alliance.

King Varian Wrynn: Patience, Tyrande. We’ll have our victory, but we’re not going in unprepared.

King Varian Wrynn: Ready our defenses. They have to come out eventually.

Elder Adler (Jinyu): Food and wood are our primary needs. Speak with me if you seek to aid us further.

Tyrande Whisperwind: Why do we not attack them outright?

King Varian Wrynn: I won’t throw away Alliance lives. I will accept nothing less than total victory.

Elder Adler (Jinyu): The beasts in the region all yield edible meat, (race). Do what you can to keep the workers fed.

(Bubble Spike constructed)

King Varian Wrynn: Don’t charge in. Let them make the first mistake.

Duff McStrum: Them crocs drop some tasty meat, (name), but tiger haunch is my personal favorite!

Duff McStrum: There’s a type of iron unique to these parts. Bring back any ya find, (name). Ain’t no iron in Azeroth us dwarves can’t forge.

Tyrande Whisperwind: They mock us from within the temple.

King Varian Wrynn: Good. That means they’re about to break.

King Varian Wrynn: They’re coming. Get behind the defenses!

Commander Scargash: Alliance dogs! Where are your teeth?

King Varian Wrynn: Come out and count them, coward! There is no army here. Only a handful of heroes stand between you and the King of Stormwind. Are you afraid?

Commander Scargash: Bring up the grunts. Attack!

Note: Grunts and Wolfriders come out of the Temple of the Red Crane in large numbers. The bubble spikes created by the Fallsong laborer Jinyu trap them into a bubble which levitates high in the air. The orcs drop to their death. Bones and ribs and gore explode on the ground.

Note: Other orcs run toward the Dwarven bottleneck. They get the same treatment from Dwarven cannons. Depends whether you help build at the Dwarven site or the Night Elven site. Players can only help two sites out of four options: Dwarves, Gnomes, Jinyu or Night Elves.

At the temple stairs area, there are two groups of Kor’kron elite. Each group has three orcs.

Commander Scargash: For the Warchief!

Your Alliance is WEAK!

I’m done with you!

(Commander Scargash is filled with rage! Avoid his melee attacks!)

Commander Scargash: Is this how you fight your battles?

(Commander Scargash dies)

King Varian Wrynn: The day is ours! And not a drop of blood was shed on holy ground.

Tyrande Whisperwind: I would have charged right in. Many more lives would have been lost in my rush for victory.

King Varian Wrynn: There was a time when I would have done the same. But I’ve learned a lot over the years. I’ve fallen for too many of Garrosh’s tricks.

From now on, we define the terms of this engagement.

Tyrande, I may not be a politician. But I am a fighter. I know we can win this war.

We just need to stand together. You have to trust me. Know that I will do the right thing. If we act as one, we cannot fail.

Tyrande Whisperwind: I see that now. Our strength is yours to command, High King. May this be the first of many victories.

Chi-Ji: A sword is the weapon of a warrior, but patience is the weapon of kings.

This day brings victory, but more difficult trials lie ahead …

Return to the Patch 5.1 Alliance Questline Hub

Patch 5.1 – The Ruins of Korune Added to Kun-Lai Summit

A new ruins was added to World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.1 currenly on PTR servers. The ruins were added in build 16309 (Nov 14), or the previous one (considering two patches were deployed in less than 36 hours).

The Ruins of Korune is possibly the location where Alliance players will find the Divine Bell during the Operation: Shieldwall Achievement questline. It’s not official this is the location. The interior is currently empty with no NPCs.

It is located high above the northern coast of Kun-Lai Summit. Only accessible with a flying mount. It has its own graveyard.

The underground fortress shares the same model as the Tomb of Conquerors in the Valley of Emperors (Kun-Lai Summit). There is a big different, however, between the two. The Ruins of Korune has a lot of tiles on the ground that trigger traps. There is no way to players to avoid the traps. The fire traps debuff players with a damage-over-time fire ability. It can be survived if you are a healer. The one that can kill you instantly is the lightning traps. The water traps toss you into the air, which is equally dangerous as it can toss you into adjacent traps.

Many thanks to “Scarty@Anasterian-US” for the heads up while we were playing in-game.

Patch 5.1 Alliance Daily Quests – Operation: Shieldwall – The Skyfire

And Then There Were Goblins

Amber Kearnen (SI:7): We’re fighting a war on all fronts, (class). Even Pandaria itself needs our protection.

The Bilgewater goblins are destroying land that doesn’t belong to them. They must be stopped!

Report to Sky Admiral Rogers aboard the Skyfire. From her vantage point she should have a good idea of where their weak spots are.

Report to Sky Admiral Rogers aboard the Skyfire in Krasarang Wilds.

Note: The Skyfire is a gunship floating near the coast of Domination Point (The Horde stronghold in Krasarang Wilds).

Sky Admiral Rogers: It’s about time we dealt with this nuisance. Those Bilgewater runts need to be taught a lesson!

The Only Good Goblin …

Sky Admiral Rogers: The destruction in Krasarang is unforgivable, (class). The only way to put an end to this is to destroy the Bilgewater operation.

This is for the greater good of Pandaria and the Alliance. Go to Bilgewater Beach and cut them down! No doubt the Horde will come to their assistance.

Destroy them!

Kill 10 Bilgewater Goblins in and around Bilgewater Beach.

Sky Admiral Rogers: Excellent work, (class)! Eventually we will wipe the Horde from this continent.

It’s Only Right

Mishka (SI:7): This is barbaric warfare, (class)! We’ve lost so many trying to keep the Bilgewater operation from spreading any further.

Those fallen soldiers fought honorably and deserved to be given their last rights. At the very least we need to be able to notify their next of kin.

Perhaps you can collect their identification tags so we can honor them in some small way.

Note: You do not need to dismount to loot the Dog Tags. Click the Shieldwall Soldiers and fly to the next one.

Retrieve 7 Shieldwall Soldier Dog Tags from the Fallen Shieldwall Soldiers in and around Bilgewater Beach.

Two Step Program

Seraphine of the Winter: Shredmaster Packle is responsible for much of the devastation down there, (class).

Rumor has it he modified the shredders to work more quickly with less regard for the collateral damage they can inflict.

Imagine the agony the trees must endure being hacked at. It will be difficult to recover from this level of destruction.

The first step in any recovery is acknowledging the problem. Step two is eliminating that problem.

Destroy Shredmaster Packle in Quickchop’s Lumber Farm.

Shredmaster Packle: I didn’t get to be the Shredmaster by putting up with chumps like you!

(Shredmaster Packle dies.)

Shredmaster Packle: I was rusty …

Seraphine of the Winter: Excellent work, (name)! Now the forest can begin its regrowth process. From all death comes new life, and a new opportunity to protect it.

Burn Out!

Sully “The Pickle” McLeary: Those goblins are gettin’ out of hand! First they level the forest and set up that abomination of a rig. Then, they start dumpin’ their oil barrels into the bay!

We got to put a stop to this madness! At the very least we need ta set them back.

We need to take out their fuel supply! Maybe you’ll even get to kill a few goblins in the process!

Use the Unstable Explosive to destroy the Northeastern Fuel Tank. Northern Fuel Tank and the Northwestern Fuel Tank.

Northeastern Fuel Tank destroyed: 1/1 (near the Domination Point gate)

Northern Fuel Tank destroyed: 1/1 (by the jungle edge north of the Oregrind’s Dig.

Northwestern Fuel Tank destroyed: 1/1 (The three contiguous Fuel Tanks near the Oil rig)

Sully “The Pickle” McLeary: Wish I could’ve been there to watch their fuel burn! Probably put on quite the show.

You’ve done well, (name)!

Dis-Assembly Required

Sully “The Pickle” McLeary (SI:7): Those shredders are becoming a problem down there, (class).

We’ve sent in the Mecha-Pounders, but it just isn’t enough. They’re getting damaged faster than we can repair ’em!

I happened upon this strange remote while scouting. With a little bit of re-configurin’ I think we can use it.

Try usin’ it on teh Jungle Shredders. Hopefully it will destroy them and then you can bring me the scrap metal.

Destroy the Jungle Shredders using the Re-Configured remote and then collect 6 pieces of Scrap Metal.

Note: Locate under the quest tracker the Re-Configured Remote icon or search for it in your inventory.

Re-Configured Remote: Use: Just point and click! (5 sec Cooldown) “Remnants of a warning sticker include the words: toxic and dangerous.”

Sully “The Pickle” McLeary (SI:7): So what did that remote do?

Goblin construction leaves somethin’ to be desired, but it’ll have to do. Good work, (name)!

Return to the Patch 5.1 Alliance Operation: Shieldwall Quests Hub.

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress – The Man With a Thousand Faces

The Best Around

Admiral Taylor: We’re going to need help if we hope to figure out Garrosh’s plans for Pandaria.

I have someone specific in mind, but he will not be easy to convince.

Agent Connelly considers himself retired, but one does not simply leave the SI:7. We’ve had an undercover agent following his every move for months.

Currently, he is disguising himself as a high roller at Bizmo’s Brawlpub. Something about settling an old debt.

Meet with our undercover agent in the Brawler’s Guild.

Report to undercover agent Townsley in Bizmo’s Brawlpub in the Stormwind side of Deeprun Tram.

Admiral Taylor: Time is of the essence, (name). Proveditor Grantley may be able to help you get back to Stormwind. Of course, everything has a price.

Proveditor Grantley: Hey (class), you looking to go to Stormwind? Travel fast with one of my portals! If you ain’t got the commissions, you’ll have to get there on your own.

Note: You require five Dominance Offensive commissions to buy Portal Reagents: Stormwind from Proveditor Grantley. Kill a few Horde near the beach. Each randomly drops 1-4 commissions. The portal takes you to the Valley of Heroes. Fly toward the Deep Tram. Drop down at the tram tracks. Head to the left. There’s an entrance to the underground Bizmo’s Brawlpub (Brawler’s Guild).

(Bizmo’s Brawlpub located: 1/1)

Barkeep Townsley: Can I get you something to drink?

(Are you the agent that is following Connelly?)

Barkeep Townsley: Shhhhh! You’ll blow my cover!

(Agent Townsley located: 1/1)

Barkeep Townsley: Following Connelly has been interesting to say the least. The man is a master of disguise!

Talking him into joining you won’t be the hard part, (class). Figuring out which of these lively individuals is him will be next to impossible.

To Catch A Spy

Barkeep Townsley: Now, I could tell you who Connelly is, but that would be too easy! To catch a spy you have to think like a spy.

You have to pass the test first!

The small things can say a lot about a person. It’s all in the details.

I’m going to give you a drink to deliver. I will give you a small detail about something the recipient is wearing. From there it will be up to you.

Be careful who you pick to give drinks to. People here tend to get pretty hostile if you give them the wrong order!

Deliver the Pink Marmot, the Mogu Melon Twist, and the Rusty Dagger to the correct patron.

Note: After accepting the quest, talk again to Barkeep Townsley. She will give you a hint, and three dialogue markers appear on the mini-map. Choose which of the three NPCs is the correct patron. Takes a bit of trial and error. Each clue might be random.

(I’m ready for the first clue.)

Barkeep Townsley: They say eyes are the window to the soul. If that’s the case, I’m guessing this guest and his soul have something to hide.

Note: The human guy with the pink sunglasses is the correct patron.

(Is this your drink order?)

Keith “The Party” Westin: It’s about time! I’m parched over here!

(Pink Marmot delivered: 1/1)

Note: Talk to Barkeep Townsley again for the next clue.

(Ok, hit me with another clue.)

Barkeep Townsley: This guest wears a memento of a love lost. I guess it’s true what they say; every love story has its thorns, just like every night has its dawn.

Note: ROFL, easter egg detected! This is part of the lyrics from POISON (1988) – Every Rose Has It’s Thorn: “every love story has its thorns, just like every night has its dawn”. It’s also sung by Miley Cyrus.

(You didn’t happen to order a Rusty Dagger did you?)

Twix Gearspark: It’s about time you showed up with this!

(Rusty Dagger delivered: 1/1)

Note: Talk to Barkeep Townsley for the next clue.

(I got this! Give me the last clue.)

Barkeep Townsley: It’s best not to get on the bad side of those that prepare food. However, I’m not sure this patron has anything but a bad side…

(Does this drink belong to you?)

Tasha Windpaw: Of course it’s my drink! I invented this ya know!

(Mogu Melon Twist delivered: 1/1)

Barkeep Townsley: You have a keen eye, (class)! I think you are ready to meet Connelly.

Stirred. Not Shaken

Barkeep Townsley: Alright, I’ll tell you how to find Connelly.

Agent Connelly is currently posing as the high roller, Professor Kilt. He spends most of his time in the Boom Room. Rumor has it he’s after one of the fighters for some long forgotten betrayal.

Unfortunately, the lounge is by invitation only. Lucky for you I just happen to have an invitation.

Try not to look too obvious when you walk past the bouncers. If you get caught you didn’t get this pass from me.

In fact you and I have never met!

Find Professor Kilt in the Boom Room in Bizmo’s Brawlpub.

Go back to the area where you recently talked to the female gnome Trix Gearspark. At the end of the hallway, on the corner there is a hidden door to the stairway. Go upstairs, and you will find Professor Kilt at the end by a table.

(Professor Kilt located: 1/1)

Professor Kilt: So the SI:7 needs a reminder in what the word retirement means?

I suppose they wouldn’t be comin’ to me if the situation weren’t dire.

I’ll help, but I’ll need a few days to gather some intel.

(Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress: The Man With A Thousand Faces)

Professor Kilt: So ye want me to go join the Alliance front in this … Pandaria … eh?

Alright, I’ll go. But this is the last time I’m going to infiltrate the Horde! And I mean it.

I’m off to gather supplies and reconnect with old contacts. If I need backup in Pandaria, I’ll send for ya!

Return to the Patch 5.1 Alliance Operation: Shieldwall Quests Hub.

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress – Lion’s Landing

Meet the Scout

Onscreen Message: It has been two months since the parting of the mists. Alliance scouts, seeking a suitable landing site for the fleet, have engaged Horde forces on a beach in Krasarang Wilds.

Meet with Scout Lynna and help secure the landing site.

Speak with Scout Lynna at Krasarang Cove in Krasarang Wilds.

Scout Lynna: You have impeccable timing, (class). King Wrynn is just about to land, and the full might of our fleet will follow soon after.

Note: King Varian Wrynn approaches on a boat along with two 7th Legion Champion.

King Varian: There’s my survey team. Bring us in. What’s the situation?

Scout Lynna: Yer Highness! This site has everything we need. Lumber, stone and-

King Varian: The Horde?

Scout Lynna: Marshal Troteman and a handful o’ scouts pursued a Horde warband up the beach. They haven’t come back.

King Varian: Hmm … Troteman may have gotten himself in over his head. We’ll split up.

Lynna, stay here and establish a camp. Your first priority should be medical tents and shelters. When the peasants arrive, see that they begin construction of the docks.

Hornswaggle, notify the rest of the survey team. Quarry and mining operations will begin as soon as the fleet arrives.

Hilda Hornswaggle: Yes, yer majesty!

King Varian: Champion, you know this land better than anyone. You’re with me. Let’s go find Troteman.

A King Among Men

King Varian: There’s no time to waste, we need to find Troteman and secure the beach.

We should check on the dwarves, too – the Explorer’s League is tough, but they’re no army. They should be along the cliff just north of here.

Let us ride, (class). For our friends. For the Alliance.

Accompany King Varian Wrynn to find Marshal Troteman, Hilda Hornswaggle, and slay 25 Horde.

Note: The best option is to find the Marshal and Hilda first. Each will be ambushed, making it easy to kill a few Horde with the assistance of King Varian, and a bunch of Alliance soldiers. Kill the remaining Horde to complete the quest. Varian will attack each target you engage, so don’t stick to just one target.

Marshal Troteman: Brace yourselves, they’re coming back around!

(Marshal Troteman found: 1/1)

King Varian: We aren’t giving those savages an inch of ground. Not while I’m still alive. Troteman, you old dog, I knew I’d find you stirring up trouble.

The survey team has done well. This is an ideal deep-water port.

I want to see a tower built right here. Marshal, see to it that you hold this position until construction is complete. Now, let’s see to our supplies …

Hilda Hornswaggle: Explorer’s League reporting in, sir!

(Hilda Hornswaggle found: 1/1)

King Varian: I’m glad to see you contribute to the war effort. But I need supplies. What have you got?

Hilda Hornswaggle: Plenty of stone, aye. But no sign of major ore veins in this whole area.

King Varian: I’ll take it. Anything else?

Hilda Hornswaggle: Somethun’ even BETTER. History! Artifacts from an ancient an’ powerful race!

King Varian: I’ll make a deal with you, Hornswaggle. Help my men get a stone quarry operation running, and we’ll protect your dig site.

Hilda Hornswaggle: You mean it? Oh, I cannae WAIT to see the look on Brann’s face when he finds out I got an excavation green-lit by the King himself! You’ll have your quarry by next sundown!

King Varian: Hm. I used to think leadership was all about strength. I see things more clearly now – it’s a little bit of give, a little bit of take. It’s about binding people together. A bundle of sticks is not easily broken.

King Varian: I’m satisfied with this site. It’s time to bring in our fleet.

Lion’s Landing

King Varian: For too long the Horde has been allowed to run rampant across Azeroth. I will not see these new lands conquered by some barbaric “warchief.”

Are you ready to bring Alliance justice to the shores of Pandaria?

Let us return to the landing site. Use the flare launcher to bring in the fleet proper, and begin Operation: Shieldwall.

Use the Flare Launcher in Krasarang Cove to signal the Alliance fleet.

King Varian: Everything is in place. We’ll construct a town center on this peninsula, using resources from along the coast. From here we can reach out to the natives and keep Horde progression in check.

Champion! Without your pioneering efforts on Pandaria, this foothold wouldn’t have been possible. The honor is yours. Signal the fleet.

(Blue sails are barely visible on the horizon – the full might of the Alliance fleet, awaiting one final signal.)

(Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress: Lion’s Landing)

(Cinematic plays: The fleet arrives upon the beach.)

Note: Lion’s Landing stronghold is built behind-the-scenes.

King Varian: Marshal, excellent work fortifying the harbor. Our next priority is-

Anduin Wrynn yells: Father!

King Varian: What-?

(King Varian kneels before Anduin.)

King Varian: Anduin … you’re safe …

Prince Anduin: Father, you can’t do this. All the hatred and anger our war brings here – it poisons this place.

King Varian: Easy, son. We’re fighting a different war now. This isn’t about hatred of the Horde. This is about a love of what’s right. About doing what needs to be done.

Prince Anduin: This land is – different than ours. It’s a treasure.

King Varian: Then we’ll protect it with our lives. Son, I need you with me on this. We in this together?

Prince Anduin: Together …

Hilda Hornswaggle: Yer Majesty! The Horde, they’ve holed up in a temple west of here. Night elf rangers have surrounded it and locked it down …

King Varian: Rangers? … Tyrande.

Prince Anduin: Father! You can’t let them turn the Crane Temple into a war zone! That place is still recovering from a sha infestation …

Hilda Hornswaggle: AND it’s a historical treasure trove.

King Varian: Everyone, calm down. This sounds like one of Garrosh’s traps. He’s trying to lure us from the beach. Troteman? Round me up some peasants and a mortar team, and don’t let down your guard.

Prince Anduin: But father-

King Varian: I’ll bring a small group of champions with me and talk to Tyrande myself, Anduin. I can handle this. I need you to trust that I’m going to do the right thing here.

Prince Anduin: … I trust you, father.

This dialogue triggers a scenario quest: A Little Patience.

Return to the Patch 5.1 Alliance Operation: Shieldwall Quests Hub.

Patch 5.1 Operation: Shieldwall Daily Quests – Ruins of Ogudei

One of the random daily quest sub-zones is the Ogudei Ruins found beneath the mining tunnels near Lion’s Landing in Krasarang Wilds.

Priorities People!

Marshal Troteman: When I ordered the excavation of the tunnel to the northwest, I thought we’d find something useful. Gold, Iron … anything!

Instead, we found mogu artifacts, and I get a bunch of dwarves from the Explorer’s League to baby-sit.

I hear from the soldiers that there’s trouble in the mines. I have orders from Wrynn that I have to support the Explorer’s League, but I can’t spare any troops. Can you get down there and find out what’s going on?

Meet with Hilda Hornswaggle at the Ruins of Ogudei.

Hilda Hornswaggle: Oi! We got a right nasty problem here. Kicked the hornet’s nest. Except these are mogu ghost hornets with a mean streak a bloodly mile wide!

The Spirit Trap

Hilda Hornswaggle: In the ruins there are a bunch of right nasty blue crystals. Look at ’em the wrong way and bloody angry ghosts run out at ya.

I’m gonna be needing ye’ to go in and clear some of them out so we can get our people back to work.

Destroy 3 Spirit Traps.

Note: These are located on the second floor downstairs. Usually inside the small deadend caves by the corners. They are floating blue crystals. When attacked, they randomly shoot a bolt on the ground to draw a rune. From the rune spawns a Howling Spirit (ancient mogu ghosts). Best way to handle this if you are ranged dps is to stand at max range and shoot. These spirits don’t have a long aggro range, and will just stand by the crystal.

Hilda Hornswaggle: Those things are nasty! Thanks for takin’ care of ’em for us.

Shackles of the Past

Hilda Hornswaggle: The mogu are a bunch of right bastards!

They enslaved the pandaren who worked these caves even after their death. Ye’ gotta go free their spirits! It’s just not right.

Be careful though … so much trauma, they don’t know what’s a friend and what’s an enemy. So they’ll probably fight back.

Free 14 Troubled Slave Spirits.

Hilda Hornswaggle: Ye’ did good work out there. It’s not right seein’ the dead unable to rest like that.

Eviction Notice

Hilda Hornswaggle: The bloody Reliquary’s snuck into the ruins. They’ve taken the lower section and are conducting all kinds of magical shenanigans down there.

It’s time we gave ’em an eviction notice, in the form of your boot in their rear!

Kill any 12 members of the Reliquary in the Ruins of Ogudei.

Note: The entrance to the Reliquary is next to the stairs. Pull them to safe distance. There are patrols of two mobs. Reliquary Blood Knights can self-heal. Interrupt those.

Hilda Hornswaggle: Ha! That should send ’em runnin’ back to Silvermoon with their tail ‘tween their legs!

Oi Ain’t Afraid O’ No Ghosts!

Hilda Hornswaggle: Look. We got a nasty problem here, and ol’ Troteman back at Lion’s Landing’s gonna throw us out of here if we don’t get things under control.

Give us a hand, please!

Kill 12 Spiritbound Mogu.

Hilda Hornswaggle: Alright! We’ll be back up and runnin’ in no time!

Ogudei’s Lieutenants

Hilda Hornswaggle: When we dug through to an ancient section of the mogu ruins, that’s when all this nasty business went down – and that’s wheer the two worst o’ these ghosties emerged.

We need them gone, friend.

Kill Meng-do, Strength of Mountains, and Gen-li, Twister of Words.

Note: Check out the video for the route to reach these lieutenants. They are on the second floor.

Hilda Hornswaggle: You did it! Good work! Really saved our bacon!

Here’s to hoping those things don’t come back …

Return to the Patch 5.1 Alliance Operation: Shieldwall Quests Hub.

Patch 5.1 Horde Daily Quests: Oregrind’s Dig

Bug Off!

Bixy Buzzsaw: This cave is crawlin’ with nasty shale spiders! How’s a girl supposed to get any work done with them gobbling up the miners AND the ore?!

This seemed like a good opportunity to use my newest invention, Bug Off. See, all you have to do is spray this stuff all over the shale spiders. They hate it and it doesn’t seem to have many long term side-effects for the miners?

What could possibly go wrong?

Take this handy sprayer and get to work!

Spray 5 Agitated Shale Spiders with the Bug Off Sprayer and eradicate 12 Shale Shards.

Bixy Buzzsaw: Now that’s what I like to hear! I bet those spiders will think twice before messing with a Bilgewater operation again!

Work Order: Iron

Boss-Lady Trixel: When they said they found some amazing rocks in that mine I envisioned diamonds. Everyone knows all mines have diamonds, silly! At the very least rubies!

Instead, all I got was this strange iron! What am I supposed to do with this?

Oh well, no one said this job would be glamorous. I just do what I can to add a little class.

We just got another work order for Iron. Go see Daxil down near the Deep Crawl Mine and get it filled pronto!

Find Daxil “The Gem” Oregrind near the Deep Crawl Mine.

Daxil “The Gem” Oregrind: Is she still complaining about diamonds and rubies? We found something better than diamonds down here!

This ore is special. It has power!

Power Metal

(Daxil narrows her eyes and speaks in a hushed tone.)

Daxil “The Gem” Oregrind: Sometimes we dig too deep, (class). Sometimes, we uncover something so horrible we wish we hadn’t started diggin’ …

Just kidding! I mean, don’t get me wrong, we did find something unexpected. The ore we’re finding down there is not your average run-of-the-mill iron.

There is just one problem: Shale Spiders! We’re struggling to keep these orders filled.

Maybe you can lend us a hand?

Obtain 7 chunks of Energized Ore from Oregrind’s Dig.

Boss-Lady Trixel: Did you happen to find anything sparkly while you were down there?

Boss-Lady Trixel: Did they manage to find anything useful down there? Maybe an emerald or an opal? Is it too much to ask for a little bit of effort?

Nevermind! I’ll make sure this shipment gets where it’s goin’.

Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive: Rise of the Blood Elves

In this episode of the Dominance Offensive achievement, the story takes us to the Silvermoon City where Lor’Themar Theron has requested Archmage Aethas Sunreaver to offer his expertise in magic to decipher the puzzle box located at the Farstrider Square’s basement (Where M’uru used to be at).

This story seems to hint at the uprising of the Blood Elves against Garrosh. Archmage Aethas Sunreaver discovers the only way to use the mogu box and their magic is to capture souls. This is something grotesque the Blood Elves are certain they can’t let Garrosh put them through. This is not the path any should ever take. It’s compared to the path Prince Kael’thas Sunstrider took their race through.

Get My Results!

General Nazgrim: Ah, (name). The Warchief has instructed me to dispatch you to Silvermoon.

He grows impatient with the progress of Lor’themar’s research and feels they might benefit from your … unique … experiences with the mogu.

Go to Silvermoon and demand that Lor’themar increase the speed of his research.

Speak with Lor’themar Theron in Silvermoon City.

Note: Use the hearthstone to Shrine of Two Moons. Walk to the second floor and take the portal to Silvermoon City.

Lor’themar Theron: The Warchief “demands” progress? His impatience is growing more destructive with each command.

As it stands, we could use your expertise.

What’s in the Box?

Lor’themar Sunstrider: We are trying to uncover the secrets of one of the mogu artifacts Garrosh insisted we investigate. It is proving most difficult, as anyone who probes it magically is greatly affected by raw, negative emotions.

I called in the assistance of Archmage Aethas of the Sunreavers in the hopes that he and Rommath could crack this puzzle. They asked for you specifically – apparently you have some relevant experience?

Go to the chamber below Farstrider Square east of here and see if you can assist them.

Assist with Aethas and Rommath’s experiment.

Note: Head toward the Farstrider Square district. At the left corner when you enter the district is the entrance to the basement. At the entrance is one of those Mechanar robots: the Arcanis Mechanica.

(Locate the Arcanis Mechanica: 1/1)

Grand Magister Rommath: Jaina Proudmoore now sits as head of the Kirin Tor and rules Dalaran.

That puts the citadel square in the hands of the Alliance no matter how much Aethas brags about neutrality.

This young upstart may have forgotten, but the Alliance tried to imprison and massacre our people during the third war.

Forgive me if I do not share his faith in their … “neutrality”.

(Lor’themar wants a status update on the experiment.)

Grand Magister Rommath: This Korune device is similar to the fel crystals we once used to enslave demonic energies. Demon or angry spirit or elemental manifestation of an emotion, the principle is relatively the same.

We need to see how intact the entity stored within this artifact is, however. Since you have experience with the mogu and the other dangers of Pandaria, would you be so kind as to do the honors?

We have already disabled most of the protective wards. Simply adjust the intensifier disc on the artifact and be ready for anything that comes out.

(Speak with Grand Magister Rommath: 1/1)

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: Silvermoon has been allies with Dalaran for over 2000 years. It is not a friendship we should idly toss aside at the whim of our ‘esteemed’ Warchief Garrosh.

Oh … are you here about the artifact?

(Lore’themar wants a status update on the experiment.)

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: Lor’themar wants a status update? Or is it his master Garrosh?

You should tell them both that this experiment is a waste of time. The mogu drew power by enslaving the living essence of other creatures. Is this something our Warchief should be dabbling in?

This is the same road Kael’thas Sunstrider once walked, and it nearly destroyed our people. Why are we taking orders from someone who would have us walk down this road again?

(Speak with Archmage Aethas Sunstrider: 1/1)

(Player opens the box’s intensifier disc.)

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: Enough Rommath! The Sin’dorei must be free from the yoke of the Horde!

Note: The player gains a buff. Pure Emotion: Increases Attack and Spell Power by 100% and Damage Taken by 10%.

(Concentrated Sha dies)

(Contain the experiment: 1/1)

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: What … what was that?

Lor’themar Theron: What madness is this?

Grand Magister Rommath: It has been an age of the world or more since I felt any emotion at even a fraction of that.

Archmage Aethas Sunreaver: Rommath … I … I don’t know what came over me.

Grand Magister Rommath: It would seem this “sha” energy is far more powerful than I previously thought.

Lor’themar Theron: This reckless use of my people by Garrosh is becoming intolerable. If you had not been here to assist I dread to think what might have happened.

(Dominance Offensive Achievement Progress: Rise of the Blood Elves)

Note: Walk back upstairs. The Arcanis Mechanica robot nicely opens a portal to Domination Point (Krasarang Wilds).

Patch 5.1 Dominance Offensive: Pride

Warchief Garrosh and the Blood Elves managed to experiment with Sha magic after defeating and capturing the leader of the Korune mogu. In this short questline, Chieftain Baine Bloodhoof asks you to confront Sha-Touched Grunts. Lor’themar Theron questions Garrosh’s lack of ability to control the sha magic.

Echoes of Thunder

General Nazgrim: Ah, (name), we meet again. I have heard some wondrous news.

High Chieftain Baine Bloodhoof of the tauren has arrived here on Pandaria.

He meets with Warchief Garrosh Hellscream and Regent Lord Lor’themar Theron now, at the Shrine of Two Moons in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

He sent me a strange request – to send him a loyal champion of the Horde, capable of combat … and discretion.

I can’t think of none better to send than you. Speak to Tak-Tak if you seek transport.

Find High Chieftain Baine Bloodhoof at the Shrine of Two Moons. Speak to Tak-Tak at Domination Point for transportation.

(Take me to the Shrine of Two Moons)

Tak-Tak: So how did your trip to the Valley of Emperors go, wikket?

It’s cold up there. And dangerous!

Too many mogu. Only our foolish mountain hozen cousins live up there.

They so ookin’ stupid!

I heard you found somethin’ … or someone. You caught one o’ those mogu, didn’t you?

Maybe nasty mogu tell you where to find that bell.

Tak-Tak also hear mogu using dark magic.

Hozen call it … ikk! You call it sha, but ikk is SO much better name!

Anyways, those crazy mogu using ikk juju.

Even foolish hozen know ikk is worse than anything. Don’t touch ikk!

You think ookin’ is nasty word? You ain’t ikkin’ know anything.

(Find Baine Bloodhoof at the Shrine of Two Moons: 1/1)

Note: Baine is found at the second floor by the capital portals – The Imperial Merchantile.

High Chieftain Baine Bloodhoof: Well met, (class). You were sent from Domination Point? Very well. We have much to discuss.

(You are now Revered with Dominance Offensive)

A Gathering Storm

Baine Bloodhoof: If General Nazgrim sent you, then I trust you are capable of discretion.

When I arrived here, I found Garrosh … experimenting … with some ancient power that he found in the mountains to the north.

He believes that this “sha” can strengthen our soldiers.

Unfortunately, so far the results have been quite the opposite.

Our troops are erupting into random violence. Go and interrogate them. If they threaten you, be prepared to defend yourself.

Confront 8 Sha-Touched Grunts.

Sha-Touched Grunt: I don’t know what came over me. Thank you for clearing my head.

Sha-Touched Grunt: W-what happened? I couldn’t control my own body.

Sha-Touched Grunt: I fought against the anger, but it overwhelmed me. You have my thanks.

Sha-Touched Grunt: Thank you for saving me from that nightmare. I wanted to rip everything apart!

Garrosh Hellscream: You bested my defenders? Finally, one who can control his hatred and violence! I need more men like you.

(Dominance Offensive Achivement Update: Pride)

Lor’themar Theron: Garrosh, you do truly believe the sha can be controlled? Have you seen what it’s done to our men?

Blademaster Ishi: Hold your tongue, blood elf! You dare question our Warchief’s judgment?

Garrosh Hellscream: Calm yourself, Ishi. The Lord Regent may speak his mind. The sha can be a powerful tool. The mogu may have once harnessed its power into the Divine Bell, and look at the glorious empire they built in its wake.

Lor’themar Theron: But their empire fell. Perhaps to the sha, perhaps to the pandaren, or perhaps … to their own pride.

Garrosh Hellscream: Did the Scourge beat all the courage from your people, blood elf? We are teh HORDE. Where there is power, we SEIZE it. My Horde has no place for the weak!

Lor’themar Theron: As you say … Warchief.

Window Dialogue

Garrosh Hellscream: Here on Pandaria, I see a land that the Horde deserves. We will take it for our own, and if anyone stands in our way, mogu or Alliance, we will raze them to the ground.

Baine Bloodhoof: An honorable meeting, (class). I have heard rumblings from my brothers here on Pandaria. Dark rumblings of dissent and worry.

I have come myself to support the Horde’s efforts, but also … to make sure that things don’t get too out of hand.

From: Vol’jin

Subject: Watching the Warchief

What you been hearing? Baine Bloodhoof wrote to say that Garrosh is capturing mogu and using some sort of energy the Pandaren call “Sha.” There ain’t no power he won’t abuse.

Baine says he going to stay close to him. Garrosh probably don’t trust the tauren chieftain. But he trust you. Keep Baine out of trouble for me. We going to need him.

Patch 5.1 Vol’jin Questline – Dagger in the Dark

Dagger in the Dark

Garrosh Hellscream: Do you see, champion? There is little my Horde cannot accomplish. What is this?

Vol’jin. What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be on your island kissing frogs?

Vol’jin: The question is, what are WE doin’ here? Yeh brigh ‘dis war to anudder corner of Azeroth, and I wanna know why.

Garrosh Hellscream: Your lack of vision is why your people are still primitives, and your lack of loyalty is why I did not summon the Darkspear for this campaign.

Look around you, Vol’jin. This land is rich in resources: wood, stone, iron, fuel. And people.

A show of might on these shores will make the pandaren think twice about joining the Alliance.

Vol’jin: All dis bloodshed make everyone think twice ’bout joinin’ da Horde.

Garrosh Hellscream: This is the difference between me and you, Vol’jin. I won’t let MY people starve to death in the desert. I will stop at nothing – NOTHING – to ensure a proud and glorious future for the orcs and anyone with the courage to stand with us. Wait here.

(Garrosh walks away from Vol’jin to whisper secretly to Rak’gor Bloodrazor. This orc has two daggers. An assassin. The conversation isn’t shared with the player. This is obviously the order to kill Vol’jin.)

Garrosh Hellscream: There is something you can do, troll, to demonstrate your value to the Horde. A mission in the heart of this continent.

Vol’jin: I will go, but only as a witness for my people. Someone gota keep you in check, Garrosh.

(Quest Discovered: Dagger in the Dark)

Dagger in the Dark

Shadow Hunter Vol’jin has joined a group of Kor’kron scouts on an important mission for the Warchief.

Of course a proud member of the Horde such as yourself is welcome to go along, but be warned – it could get ugly.

Enter the “Dagger in the Dark” scenario and report to Vol’jin.

Vol’jin: Have you fought dese ‘tings before? It’s like dey got weapons, but no brains.

(A Darkhatched Sorcerer has put the boat into Stasis! Kill it to interrupt the spell.)

Grizzle Gearslip: They’re busting up our boat!

Note: Big blue runes appear on the ground. Players must step on them to get a buff. It stacks. Rinse and repeat to get more stacks.

(You’ve gained Mogu Power! Pick up more runes and your power will grow.)

Mogu Power: Damage increased by 40. Haste increased by 20%. Movement Speed increased by 10%. Healing 2% max health every 2 sec. (Stacks)

(A Darkhatched Sorcerer has put the boat into Stasis! Kill it to interrupt the spell.)

Grizzle Gearslip: Ack, get that thing off us!

Grizzle Gearslip: Here, take this! It’ll help you against any swarms.

(Grizzle has given you a set of landmines! Use them on the saurok eggs nearby.)

Grizzle Gearslip: I’ll just … be right here. Don’t forget about me!

Vol’jin: Here! Stop da boat here.

Vol’jin: Dis be some kinda spawnin chamber … And dat be one ugly mudder!

(Broodmaster Noshi dies)

Vol’jin: Somethin unnatural about ‘dese creatures.

Rak’gor Bloodrazor: This is the chamber we’re looking for. The Warchief has learned there’s a connection between the Mogu and these creatures. Troll! You know all about this … voodoo. What can you find?

Vol’jin: “Voodoo” Watch me back while I investigate …

(Click the Broken Mogu Tablet by the wall)

(The statue appears to be of an ancient Mogu emperor.)

(It seems as though this cave used to contain powerful Mogu magic.)

Vol’jin: ‘Dese “Mogu,” dey workin’ wicked dark magic here. Da Saurok, ‘dey not born -‘dey was created. Flesh shaped an’ bent.

Dis be the blackest of magics, mon!

Rak’gor Bloodrazor: Yes! The power to shape flesh, to build warriors. This is what the Warchief wants!

Vol’jin: Garrosh playing god? Making monsters? Dis ain’t what da Horde is about!

Rak’gor Bloodrazor: He knew you were a traitor!

(Note: Rak’gor stabs Vol’jin with a powerful poison especially designed to kill a troll.)

Vol’jin: H-help-

Rak’gor Bloodrazor: The Warchief will annihilate his enemies! Ha-HAH!

(Note: Rak’gor attacks the players)

Rak’gor Bloodrazor: Leave no witnesses! Is THIS where your loyalties lie? Ha-HAH! Hellscream’s Horde demands absolute obedience!

(Note: Rak’gor Bloodrazor dies)

(Scenario: Dagger in the Dark complete!)

(Dominance Offensive Achievement update: Dagger in the Dark)

Rak’gor Bloodrazor: Hellscream … will find out …

Vol’jin: Dis be what da Horde come to? Killin’ its own? We can’t let dis happen. Champions, I need ya. Go back to da Warchief. Tell ‘im I’m dead. Stay close to ‘im. Watch ‘im. You an’ me, we move to take ‘im out when da time is right. Others are like me. You gotta find ’em. Swear da blood oath wit me.

Someone You Should See

Messenger Grummle: (Name)? It is good fortune I find you.

Chen Stormstout says to give this to you and ask you to meet him at Binan Village of the Kun-Lai Summit.

He found a friend of yours who needs much luck to get healthy.

Chen say speak to Tak-Tak for fast travels.

Find Chen Stormstout at Binan Village. Speak to Tak-Tak at Domination Point for transportation.

(Take me to Binan Village.)

Tak-Tak: We meet again. Yu havin’ a good day now?

Anyway, Tak-Tak hear a lot of stuff goin’ on at the camp. I heard that your Warchief Garrosh was lookin’ around the Vale o’ Eternal Blossoms.

Did you and the pretty elves find somethin’ while you was there?

I heard somethin’ about a bell, made by those crazy mogu … thousands of years ago. Jimeny wikkets!

Is yer Warchief gonna look fer that bell now? Anything mogu is dangerous … an’ powerful.

Anyway, we’re almost to Binan Village. You mus’ be doin’ somethin’ real ookin’ important.

A big pandaren came and asked me to bring you here.

Don’t tell anyone where you’re goin’, he said!

Tak-Tak good on his word. Tak-Tak been real quiet. Me helpful!

Ok, we’re here. Get out!

Chen Stormstout: Vol’jin was a friend of mine, once upon a time. It has been many years since our paths crossed.

(What happened to Vol’jin?)

Chen Stormstout: Vol’jin’s body was found in a well a few days ago.

A poison flows through his veins that is halting his regeneration. This was designed to kill a troll.

If I had to guess, I would say this wound was made by an assassin’s hand. And one who is not from Pandaria.

Chen Stormstout: Ah! You received my note. Very good. Vol’jin is near death, and I will need your help healing his wounds.

Regeneration Takes Time

Chen Stormstout: Vol’jin would be dead if he were any race other than a troll. His regeneration is impressive, but it is being blocked by a poison.

We need to cleanse this poison so that he can regenerate the damage.

Take to the skies and travel southeast. Across the mountain tops of the Secret Aerie you will find needle sprites. Bring me some of the hardest needles from them you can find.

With them I can attempt an acupunture technique that should purge the poison from his body and accelerate his regeneration.

Collect 10 Sturdy Needles.

Chen Stormstout: My herbs are the only thing keeping Vol’jin from death. I dare not leave his side.

Sturdy Needle item: “A soothing aroma of pine drifts up from this stiff needle.”

Chen Stormstout: Very good. These should work nicely.

Nothing heals like a fistful of needles.

Find Thrall!

(Vol’jin half opens an eye and begins to move his lips as if to speak. Though no sound comes, you decipher two words.)

Vol’jin: Find Thrall.

(With an effort, Vol’jin thrusts a hearthstone into your hands and then passes out.)

Find Thrall by using Vol’jin’s Hearthstone.

(Vol’jin’s Hearthstone: 1/1)

Vol’jin’s Hearthstone item: “Use: Returns you to the Den in Durotar. May only be used near Vol’jin in Binan Village. (30 Min. Cooldown)”

Thrall: You have come a long way to see me, (race). Speak.

(Thrall stares at the stone you have handed him.)

Thrall: Vol’jin’s hearthstone? My friend, has it come to this?

The Horde Is Family

Thrall: This hearthstone was part of a conversation Vol’jin and I shared a long time ago.

He believes his people are in danger. I don’t know what all has transpired in my absence, but I can at least do this for my friend.

Come, (name), travel with me to the Echo Isles. We must make sure that the Darkspear are safe.

Escort Thrall to the Echo Isles.

Thrall: Aggra, I should not be long. The Darkspear are a strong people and I doubt they have much need of my assistance.

Aggra: Take as long as you need, Go’el. If Vol’jin believes his people are in danger then you had best aid them as you can.

Thrall: Very well my beloved. Come friend, let us ride to the home of the Darkspear.

I remember when Vol’jin and I first came to this land. The Horde was just an idea then. A hope. We needed one another.

We made our home in this desert, and named it after my father Durotan, Chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan.

The land was harsh. Time and again it was Vol’jin and his people who ensured the Horde’s survival, saving us from starvation, or taking up arms when we were attacked.

Trolls and orcs have fought together. Died together. We are family. And family looks after its own.

Thrall: Kor’kron? Here? What has Garrosh been up to?

Kor’kron Soulbreaker: Halt! This city is under Martial Law. Declare yourselves.

Thrall: Have I been away so long that you have forgotten who I am?

Kor’kron Soulbreaker: Thrall, we no longer answer to you. We have a new Warchief now. And he has reminded us that we are STRONG!

Thrall: These are our Allies! You watch over them like they’re a threat. Why? You WILL answer to me!

Kor’kron Soulbreaker: No! Never again!

Thrall: Vol’jin has saved my life many times in the past. To see my own Kor’kron used against his people cuts deeper than I can put into words.

The Kor’kron have been trained to be the finest, most loyal soldiers of the Warchief. Their presence here means that Garrosh fears an uprising.

Vol’jin and his people are as much a part of the Horde as any orc.

We must break this occupation and free the trolls. It pains me to say this, but you must eliminate enough of the Kor’kron so that the trolls can retake their city. Then meet me at Darkspear Hold so we might challenge their officer directly.

Defeat 10 Kor’kron Overseers, 5 Kor’kron Subjugators, and Gul’tar the Subjugator.

Kor’kron Overseer: We’re routing out the traitors. Looks like we’ve found another …

Defiant Darkspear Citizen: Why ya be doin’ dis? We all part o’ dah Horde.

Defiant Darkspear Citizen: Who you be to challenge our loyalty?

Kor’kron Subjugator: By order of the Warchief this “city” is now under Martial Law. Any who refuse the will of the Warchief shall be branded as traitors!

Kor’kron Subjugator: This is OUR Horde!

Rebellious Darkspear Watcher: Ya not be needin’ dis weapon again now are ya?

Rebellious Darkspear Watcher: Shoulda’ left when ya had the chance.

Thrall: The orcs have changed. My Horde has changed. Do I kill my fellow orcs until it is once again “my” Horde? Do I have any right to try force the Horde to be what it once was?

These are troubling times. But for now, I must see to Vol’jin’s people.

(Dominance Offensive Achievement Update: The Horde is family)

Thrall: Sons and daughters of the Horde! Today you stand free due to the strength of your heroes and the actions of this champion, (name)! The Kor’kron arrival heralds dark times for the Horde.

But know this, the Horde IS family, even if some of its leaders have forgotten that fact. To prove this, I shall remain with you and lend what strength I can to your chosen leaders until Vol’jin returns.

Please, (name), do not tell Garrosh what we have done here today. I must make some weighty decisions before confronting him directly.

Do me this courtesy, (name), and do not share with Garrosh what has transpired here today. I could confront him directly, but I see now not all orcs share my view of the Horde.

Who am I to command their allegiance if I must become another dictator to do so?

What I can do is aid the Darkspear in fortifying their home while their heroes are abroad for the war. When Vol’jin returns, we will plan our next move.

From: Vol’jin

Subject: Darkspear Never Die

    My Friend.

Garrosh tried to off me with a dagger to the throat. But I got me something more powerful than assassin’s poison. I got friends. You. Chen Stormstout. Thrall… We been through worse.

I need to lie low for a while. Get me head together. Chen is taking me to the Shado-Pan Monastery to heal.

Meantimes, I need you to stay close to Garrosh. Keep your eyes open. Find out what he got going on. Dangerous. But I know you can handle yourself. I seen it with me own eyes.

Patch 5.1 Horde Daily Quests: The Korune

General Nazgrim will open a new core quest series sending players to The Valley of Emperors in Kun-Lai Summit. There awaits Regent Lord Lor’themar Theron. This part of the lengthy questline the blood elves kidnap a mogu to interrogate him about the Divine Bell.

To The Valley!

General Nazgrim: This sealed communication was sent for you, along with urgent orders to travel to the Valley of Emperors in Kun-Lai Summit.

This looks serious. I’d not delay if I were you.

Speak to Tak-Tak for transportation.

Find your “Friend from Silvermoon” at the Valley of Emperors. Speak to Tak-Tak at Domination Point for transportation.

(Take me to the Valley of Emperors)

Tak-Tak: Ooh, big stuff’s shakin’. I heard some pretty elfs got slap-slapped up at Mogujia.

Say, wasn’t you there? Did you see it?

The blood elves weren’t prepared to fight the Korune mogu. Lotta blood elves died, but I heard you saved many survivors.

Anyway, big elf leader, Lor’them-somethin’ … he’s real mad!

He’s still loyal to your Warchief, but he wants to do things differently.

Garrosh all about strength! Lor’themar all about strategy. Even a simple hozen like Tak-Tak can see that!

Oh look, we are here. Later!

(Find your “Friend from Silvermoon”: 1/1)

Lor’themar Theron: Ah, good. You have come.

Again, I apologize for the cryptic note – but Garrosh is increasingly distrustful of us. I do not want this operation disturbed by hasty action on his part.

Lor’themar Theron: Orestes! Aenea! You are to accompany (name) on his mission.

Mogu are imperious, arrogant, and powerful – all characteristics that will send Garrosh into a rage when he arrives.

This is why it is critical that we capture and interrogate the leader of these mogu before that happens.

Ranger Orestes: Another mission with Aenea? If I must.

Legacy of the Korune

Lor’themar Theron: I’m not prepared to throw away more of our people fighting against an enemy we don’t know or understand.

See if you can find any clues in the area as to who exactly these “Korune” mogu are. A contingency in case this operation doesn’t go as planned.

Find the document Legacy of the Korune in the Valley of the Emperors, and collect the Sealed Korune Artifact and Korune Orders from Korune Mogu.

Lor’themar Theron: Have you found anything on the mogu?

Legacy of the Korune inscription: “These orders indicate that the Koruni have been called out of hiding in light of the resurrection of the Thunder King.”

Lor’themar Theron: Good. There’s quite a bit to pore through here …

I will have the Reliquary investigate these. Surely we can use them to discern more of the secrets of these Korune mogu.

Clearing the Path

Lor’themar Theron: First thing’s first. If we’re going to take the leader captive, we’ll need to thin the numbers of his agents.

Be careful. These mogu are particularly dangerous – they appear to be manipulating the sha in ways we haven’t seen before.

Kill 10 Korune Mogu

Lor’themar Theron: Good. We should be ready to make our move.

Trapping the Leader

Lor’themar Theron: It is time to make our move. Go to the Tomb of Shadows, weaken him, and take him captive.

I will stay here in case Garrosh arrives. He must be delayed so that we can take our prize before he destroys it in his anger.

Weaken and capture Shan Kien at the Tomb of Shadows in Kun-Lai Summit.

Shan Kien (Korune Warlord): INTERLOPER! Insect! Flea! I shall brush you away!

(Shan Kien’s hand twists into a Sha Claw!)

(Shan Kien’s eyes glow with Sha Magic!)

Shan Kien (Korune Warlord): Fools! I control what makes you fight … Fear, anger, doubt … these are MY weapons! AUGH!

Warchief Garrosh: Now … if you value your life, scum, you’ll tell me what I need to know. Where is the Divine Bell?!

Shan Kien (Korune Warlord): Ha … (cough) … you young races … so impatient, petulant. You cannot even control yourself … your own rage, your own fear. How could you hope … (cough) … to control the Bell?

Warchief Garrosh: Graaaagh!

(Garrosh smacks Shan Kien knocking him unconscious.)

Fine. You’ve made your choice … mogu. Now, you die …

Fanlyr Silverthron: Garrosh! Stay your hand! He is our only way to find the bell. We WILL make him talk. Give us time.

Warchief Garrosh: … Very well. He is yours, Blood Elf. But, elf … Disrespect me again, and I’ll have your head on a pike outside the gates of Orgrimmar.

Fanlyr Silverthron: Well … that was interesting. Let’s go meet with Lor’themar back outside.

Lor’themar Theron: We managed to capture our quarry.

In truth, though, I am not sure what our next move should be. I will contact the leaders of our allies and see if they have ideas – I don’t know that our arcane talents are going to pry the secrets of our mogu captive.

Alright everyone. Make preparations to take the prisoner back to the Vale. We’ll be handling him over to Hellscream once he’s had some time to cool off.

(Dominance Offensive Achievement Update: The Korune)

Lor’themar Theron: (Name) – good work. Without your assistance, I’m afraid this whole business would have ended quite nastily.

Patch 5.1 Horde Quests: To Mogujia

As players complete several random daily quests, out of the blue a quest appears at the Horde Bounty Board located outside the main building in Dominion Point.

The quests coming from the bounty board unlock new series of core quests dealing with Vol’jin, Garrosh Hellscream or Lor’Themar Theron. When finished, these unlock achievement updates.

To Mogujia

General Nazgrim: Throm-ka, (class). While we were busy defending our foothold here, Regent Lord Lor’themar Theron led a research expedition north into Kun-Lai Summit.

Unfortunately, it seems they have encountered trouble.

Warchief Garrosh Hellscream has already departed to lend his assistance, but he will require additional reinforcements.

Go northward into the mountains of Kun-Lai. Speak to Tak-Tak for transportation.

Find Regent Lord Lor’themar Theron at Mogujia. Speak to Tak-Tak at Domination Point for transportation.

Tak-Tak: Headin’ back up to Kun-Lai Summit, wikket? Last time we met, you were headin’ to Binan Village to see your pandaren friend.

Did you get your business done?

Anyway, I saw some more pretty elves headin’ north earlier. Lots of elves.

They’re lookin’ for that bell. Big, powerful bell! You lookin’ for it too, wikket?

Here we are. See ya!

(Find Lor’themar Theron at Mogujia 1/1)

Lor’themar Theron: You gave us no warning about the mogu, Warchief. These statues came to life!

Warchief Garrosh: Was I wrong to assume your Blood Elves could handle themselves?

Lor’themar Theron: We could have, had we been given any warning. You threw my people to the wolves.

Warchief Garrosh: Your weakness is not my failing, Regent. My Horde has room only for those strong enough to stand within it.

Lor’themar Theron: Do not question my loyalty, Warchief. We came across an ocean to fight for you.

Warchief Garrosh: Yes, and with your help, we will pry the secrets from this land. For the glory of the Horde! If I must pay with some elven blood, then so be it.

Lor’themar Theron: Take care, Garrosh. You would destroy the Horde to create your perfect future.

Lor’themar Theron: Well met, (class) We are an archaeological expedition, sent to excavate these ruins. We had no idea that this area was crawling with dangerous mogu.

Lor’themar Theron: We managed to fend off the mogu wardens and their dogs, but many of the blood elves from the scouting party were not as lucky.

Many of my people are trapped inside the ruins to the north. We are devising a solution to break them out, but I believe there may be a more straightforward approach.

Go to the ruins and kill the wardens guarding each prisoner. If my intuition is correct, this will free our comrades.

Free 6 Domination Knights, Domination Spellbreakers, or Sunfury Runeseekers by killing Terracota Wardens.

Korune Warden: We will rise again, and your kind will be made to serve!

Dominance Mage: The mogu’s strength is astonishing.

Dominance Mage: I watched the mogu torture my friends. Thanks to you, I have been spared.

Dominance Mage: The mogu’s sorcery is unlike any we have encountered before.

Dominance Mage: If our reinforcements had arrived, we may have had a chance.

Lor’themar Theron: We blood elves have served the Horde faithfully. Lately, I wonder what we have to gain from Garrosh’s leadership.

Thank you for your assistance, (name). As the leader of the blood elves, it is my duty to protect my people. It is not a responsibility to be taken lightly.

Fanlyr Silverthorn: I will use all the resources at my disposal to expose the source of the mogu’s power.

Ancient Guardians

Fanlyr Silverthorn: Before the mogu overwhelmed our scouting party, we found relics scattered amongst the ruins to the north.

I would like to collect some samples, but the mogu’s terracota watchdogs are too much for us to handle.

If you could clear the area of their presence, we will be able to resume our work.

Kill 5 Terracotta Guardians

Fanlyr Silverthorn: Ah! Well done! With the guardians gone, we should be able to excavate these ruins safely.

The Korune

Fanlyr Silverthorn: These terracotta wardens are fearsome, but not nearly as horrifying as the creature that we found at the top of the ruins.

Some of our surviving scouts reported seeing some kind of mogu spellweaver on the highest rise to the north.

He practices a type of magic unlike any other we have seen.

We must learn whatever we can from this creature. Slay him, and bring me anything you find.

Collect a Korune Codex from the Korune Spellweaver.

The Korune Codex’s inscription says: “The leathery vellum shows a map of the northeastern Kun-Lai mountains. Ancient symbols of power, drawn in dark red ink, radiate outward from teh map’s center.”

Fanlyr Silverthorn: What did you discover? Yes, this is remarkable! This is just the kind of artifact that we came here to find!

Hmm … according to this codex, the Korune mogu are attempting to harness the very power of the sha. This map shows us their very location! Well done, (name). You have helped us enough for today.

Patch 5.1 Horde Daily Quests: Quickchop’s Lumber Farm

The Horde players get another set of random daily quests at Dominion Point from goblins, taking them to the nearby Bilgewater Beach and Quickchop’s Lumber Farm sub-zones.

Storming the Beach

Rivett Clutchpop: Our lumber supply is being jeopardized by constant attacks from Lion’s Landing.

We’ve been able to keep the attackers at bay, but it’s time to really sho ’em some muscle!

Head down to the coast and start splitting some skulls!

Kill any 10 Shieldwall Forces including SI:7 Saboteurs in and around Bilgewater Beach.

Rivett Clutchpop: Excellent work down there, (name)! That should keep ’em outta our hair for awhile!

Zino “The Shredder” Quickchop: We just filled an order this morning. How could they possibly need more already?!

My team has been workin’ double-time to get these trees chopped and processed.

Problem is we have an infestation of Lion’s Landing troops down here. I already risked my neck once today. I’m not goin’ back out there!

Goob will go with you and help you fill this order. He’s not the brightest, but he can do the heavy liftin’.

Quest Objectives

Gather 9 Pieces of Domination Point Lumber from the Lumber Farm.

Work Order: Lumber

Boss-Lady Trixel: Everyday it’s the same thing! “We’re out of this!”, “We need more of that!”, “Why don’t you ever do anything?!”

I work! I do things! They can be so hurtful! I’m doin’ my best down here!

Oh yea, we need more lumber! Go down and tell that good for nothin’ Zino to get his shredders in gear!

Find Zino “The Shredder” Quickchop in the Lumber Farm.

Zino “The Shredder” Quickchop: Good for nothin’ huh?! I’m busting my rump down here!

Maybe her “uselessness” would like to come down here and haul this lumber herself!

Wanted: Lieutenant Ethan Jacobson

Bounty Board: Wanted for crimes against the Domination Point forces!

Lieutenant Ethan Jacobson is responsible for leading several ground assaults against the Bilgewater lumber operation.

Last spotted occupying an island south of Quickchop’s Lumber Farm.

Destroy Lieutenant Ethan Jacobson in the Southern isles south of Quickchop’s Lumber Farm.

Lieutenant Ethan Jacobson: You won’t survive this game of fetch, (race).

Blood Guard Gro’tash: It’s a good day when another Lion’s Landing leader falls, (class)! Good work!

Universal Remote-Explode

Bixy Buzzsaw: The Mecha-Pounders are really making things difficult down here, but I think I may have the solution!

I made this universal remote for myself, but it looks like I hit a specific frequency that has an useful result!

Apparently this frequency weakens their armor!

Use the remote to take them down a few notches then punch ’em in the face!

Destroy 7 Shieldwall Mecha-Pounders in and around Quickshop’s Lumber Farm.

Bixy Buzzsaw: Good work, (name)! I saw the fireworks from here!

Who knew being a genius was this easy? I don’t even have to try anymore.

Mystery Meatloaf

Duke: We’ve been gettin’ complaints right and left that the Boss-Lady gets all the good grub and leaves the scraps for the others.

Between you and I, they may be onto somethin’ here. I don’t even get to eat as good as she does!

We need somethin’ Sezik can make a lot of that at least attempts to disguise how inedible the food is here …

I got it! Mystery Meatloaf!

Obtain 7 Chunks of Mystery Meat from the local wildlife.

Sezik Steampot: What do ya got for me now?

Sezik Steampot: I have standards ya know! I’m a chef, not a magician!

The only mystery here is how Duke thinks he’ll pull this over on everyone else!

Krasarang Steampot

Duke: The Boss-Lady desires crabs!

Why are you looking at me like that? It’s not uncommon for a classy person, such as her loveliness, to want crab for dinner. What did you think I meant?

There are some big crabs wandering around on Bilgewater Beach that should be suitable for her refined palate.

Bring Sezik the best crab beat you can find!

Obtain 5 chunks of Polluted Viseclaw Meat from the Viseclaw crabs on Bilgewater Beach.

Sezik Steampot: Boss-Lady wants a steampot does she? Well, maybe she should come down here and make it herself!

Sezik Steampot: This meat is disgusting! It’s going to take every spice I have to cover that smell up.

Only the best for the Boss-Lady!

(Sezik grins and winks at you.)

PTR Patch 5.1 Horde Daily Quests: The Ruins of Ogudei

On the Domination Point, Horde players will find random daily quests in Krasarang Wilds. Like in Dread Wastes, these daily quests pop in random sub-zones.

The second day I played the PTR, Blood Guard Gro’tash gave me a daily quest titled “The Ruins of Ogudei”. He sends the player to Sparkrocket Outpost — hidden on a small peninsula near Lion’s Landing. This sub-zone has Horde players infiltrate the Alliance mining system which accidentally uncovered underground Mogu ruins.

Upon arrival to Sparkrocket Outpost, there are several daily quests mainly focusing players to accomplish a series of missions within the underground mining system, the underground ruins, and finally emerging from the entrance near Lion’s Landing.

Horde players access the bottom of the mining system through a portal located at Sparkrocket Outpost which leads three floors underground. The developers were nice to include maps for each floor. From left to right: Floor 3, Floor 2, Floor 1.

The Ruins of Ogudei

Blood Guard Gro’tash: Our scouts at Sparkrocket Outpost have reported some new activity near an area called the Ruins of Ogudei.

We need to gather intelligence on what it is the Alliance are doing, and more importantly what it is they found. We cannot afford to have any unknowns.

Meet up with Belloc Brightblade in Sparkrocket Outpost and find out what he knows.

Report to Belloc Brightblade in Sparkrocket Outpost.

Belloc Brightblade: We have a lot of work to do, (class). Who knows what has already been uncovered in Ogudei!

Taking Advantage

Belloc Brightblade: The fools in the Explorer’s League have excavated an ancient mogu ruin to the northeast. And – of course – in their bumbling, they ‘ve disturbed the mogu spirits within.

We are going to take advantage of their ineptitude. Take this portal and meet with Kaelis Sunsoar, my contact within the ruins.

Use the portal at Sparkrocket Outpost to meet with Kaelis Sunsoar at the Ruins of Ogudei in Krasarang Wilds.

Kaelis Sunsoar: Ah, yes. Good. Help from Belloc. He never does like to get his hands dirty.

The Spirit Trap

Kaelis Sunsoar: Within the ruins we have identified several powerful mogu artifacts. They trapped spirits within, probably to use them in some ritual or conjuration.

They are a type of device that we haven’t identified and desperately need to study – they may reveal more of the secrets of the mogu’s spirit binding techniques.

Go, find us a few samples so that we may continue a proper study.

Collect 3 Spirit Traps.

Kaelis Sunsoar: Have you brought the traps? Ahh, yes. Hmm. Hand that over. Carefully.

We’re Not Monsters!

Kaelis Sunsoar: The Reliquary may have had a bad name in the past, but we’re not monsters. We simply hold different views about archaeology than the Explorer’s League.

We do focus on performing acts of heroism from time to time. So go, liberate some of the pandaren slave spirits in the ruins.

Liberate 14 Troubled Slave Spirits.

Kaelis Sunsoar: Ah, good work. As much as it may seem trivial in comparison to our larger research goals, it is important that we maintain appearances, (name).

Legacy of Ogudei

Kaelis Sunsoar: The ruins which we are occupying were built by Ogudei – an ancient mogu ruler. We know little about who he was, though the rise of the spirits in this area seems to indicate that it was related to spirit binding.

When you destroy these spirits, a small amount of their essence will remain in this world. Bring it to us – we will analyze it and hopefully learn more about Ogudei’s history – and his power.

Collect 5 Ancient Mogu Spirit Essence.

Note: These come in teams of two. When in combat, they cast a binding spell on themselves. Focus on the Spiritbound Arcanist, and crowd control the melee Spiritbound Brutalizer as often as possible. Dodge and move away from the shadow missile. A whirlpool can be seen on the ground beneath you before the shadow missile falls on the ground.

Ogudei’s Lieutenants

Kaelis Sunsoar: There are two extremely powerful mogu spirits that the Alliance unearthed in their ineptitude.

These are choice targets for us, (class). If you kill them and collect each of their essences, we could make great progress on decoding the history of this strange ruin.

Collect Meng-do’s Essence and Gen-li’s Essence in the Ruins of Ogudei.

Kaelis Sunsoar: The essence isn’t going to make itself, (race).

Kaelis Sunsoar: What treasures! With any luck, the spirits will return and we will be able to sample their essence further.

Kick ’em While They’re Down

Kaelis Sunsoar: The Alliance may think they have a stranglehold on the ruins, given that their base of operations is close.

We’re going to disabuse them of that notion. Go take out some of their guards.

Kill 10 Lion’s Landing military units as well as the Lion’s Landing Guard Captain.

It is A Mystery

Kaelis Sunsoar: We have detected several … anomalies in these mines, of an arcane or spiritual nature. They are disrupting our attempts to discern the nature of the magic used in the spirit binding rituals here.

They are quite elusive, but we’ve managed to isolate the arcane signature of one of these anomalies, and one of our mages has enchanted this bauble with its signature.

Take the bauble. It will begin to glow more brightly as you approach the anomaly. Once you reach it, you can use the bauble to draw it out.

Use the Arcane Bauble to find an anomaly within the Ruins of Ogudei.

Kaelis Sunsoar: Ahh, yes. I received word from one of our researchers that they are no longer troubled by that anomaly. Well done.

PTR Patch 5.1: Vol’jin and the Horde Dominance Offensive in Pandaria

So far I have encountered very interesting content for level 90 players who decide to embark into this Patch 5.1 adventure.

This is not content you can just do in one go. There are daily quests involved. Once Patch 5.1 hits live servers, the first quest is triggered onscreen merely by entering The Shrine of the Two Moons (Horde), or the Shrine of Seven Stars (Alliance).

Scout Rokla can be found in Krasarang Wilds at coordinates (8.7,64.4) at the westernmost isle. The map has been updated to show Dominance Point (Horde) and Lion’s Landing (Alliance).

Meet the Scout

Speak with Scout Rokla at the Horde Landing Site in Krasarang Wilds.

It has been two months since the parting of the mists. Horde scouts, seeking a suitable landing site for the fleet, have engaged Alliance forces on a small island off the coast of Krasarang Wilds.

Meet with Scout Rokla and help secure the landing site.

Scout Rokla: You are just in time. The Warchief is about to land. Once this site passes his inspection, the fleet will follow.

(You are now friendly with the Dominance Offensive)

Garrosh Hellscream: Here! Stop the boats here.

This island will make a perfect coastal stronghold. Rokla! When the peons arrive, clear these trees and begin construction of the docks.

Champion, you have been here for many weeks, and know this land well. Come with me.

The Kor’kron elite guard, goblins and Forsaken scouts can be found holding positions at the shore of the westernmost isle of Krasarang Wilds. Humans and Night Elf sentinels have them cornered on the beach.

The arrival of Warchief Garrosh Hellscream and his champion (YOU) shift the balance of the ambush. The player must kill 25 Alliance mobs. Garrosh kills them really quick. I recommend to tag 1-2 mobs at a time, Garrosh is a bit slow on assisting. Sometimes stands still doing nothing unless the mob is a couple of feet close.

The Might of the Warchief

Warchief Garrosh: Come, (class)! I want to inspect this island and ensure that my landing team has done their job.

Let us crush this pitiful display and claim this land for the Horde!

Accompany Garrosh Hellscream to find Blood Guard Gro’tash, Grizzle Gearslip, and slay 25 Alliance.

  • Alliance slain (25)
  • Blood Guard Gro’tash found (10.4, 53.6 – north)
  • Grizzle Gearslip found (15.7, 57.7 – northeast corner by the beach)

Find Blood Guard Gro’tash

Blood Guard Gro’tash: More elves to slaughter!

Garrosh Hellscream: A pitiful skirmish! The Alliance fights without conviction. Hold this ground, Blood Guard. Here is where we will build our keep. Expect peons within the hour, and be ready to motivate them.

**Video available in 720HD / 1080HD**

Grizzle Gearslip

Grizzle Gearslip: Heads up, boys. More tin-men comin’ our way! There’s oil here alright, and we’re gonna need it!

Garrosh Hellscream: Well done. Our presence here will not be denied!

Domination Point

(This fire will signal the full might of the Horde invasion fleet to land on this beach, beginning Garrosh’s campaign in Pandaria.)

Note: Click the Signal Fire.

(Domination Point Achievement Progress appears onscreen)

(Screen goes black. Cinematic begins)

After the cinematic, the player enters a new phased area on the north of the isle. Domination Point has been built. Random Daily quests appear.

Core Quests

After the Domination Point cinematic, Vol’jin confronts Garrosh and the questline from World of Warcraft: Vol’jin, Shadows of the Horde begins. The Dagger in the Dark is part of “The Horde is Family” achievement progress for the Dominance Offensive Achievement.

After Vol’jin departs to his new mission, Garrosh summons a wyvern mount onscreen and flies away toward the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. A new core quest opens up:

Daily Quests

The daily quests become available. Like in the Dread Wastes, the daily quests send players to sub-zones throughout the coast of Krasarang Wilds. Note: The links below open in a separate page, but this page stays static. Close the opening page after finishing, and return to this page to continue browsing through the Patch 5.1 content.

Beastmaster Quests

These quests can only be purchased from the Domination Point Collector of Commissions Ongrom Black Tooth.

  • Beastmaster’s Hunt: The Crab
  • Beastmaster’s Hunt: The Crane
  • Beastmaster’s Hunt: The Tiger

There are two Horde vs Alliance Scenarios.

Patch 5.1 Alliance Daily Quests – Operation: Shieldwall

King Varian Wrynn and the Alliance arrive to the shores of Pandaria and build the Lion’s Landing stronghold on the eastern coast of Krasarang Wilds.

Operation: Shieldwall Achievement Progress

The Alliance has a series of non-daily lore quests or core quests which progress the storyline toward the end-game dungeon encounter against Garrosh Hellscream.

Daily Quests

There are two Horde vs Alliance Scenarios.

Patch 5.1 Horde Quests: Voice of the Gods

Rise of an Empire

General Nazgrim: Warchief Garrosh Hellscream travels north with a squad of his most elite soldiers.

Report to him with news of our continued victory against the Alliance. Make sure that his journey is swift and without incident.

Speak to Tak-Tak at Dominion Point.

(Take me to the Shrine of Two Moons)

Note: Tak-Tak takes the player on a Pandaren Kite to the Shrine of the Two Moons. A dialogue is triggered.

Tak-Tak: Heya! I’m Tak-Tak. I’ll take you to the Vale now, just like the big green guy over there told me to. Wait an ookin’ jibbet! Are you the wikket dat cleared the beach of jerb-derkin’ Alliance slicky-siders? You did all of that? You bammin’! You know, big grown guy was lookin’ for a trip up north earlier. Some Garrod… err… Ganosh… err … anyway, I didn’t get his name. He looked real important. Tak-Tak try to chitchatter with ‘im, but he jus’ stared at me so I shut my jabber real quick. Oh, looks like we’re here! Good luck out there.

Note: Upon landing, the player must mount up and fly above the central entrance of Shrine of the Two Moons. Garrosh is standing on the outdoor ledge of the temple — high above.

Garrosh Hellscream: Just look at this place, Malkorok. THIS is the prosperity that our people deserve! Tell me again the names of those who built this kingdom.

Malkorok: The mogu, Warchief. In the tome of pandaren history, they are written as cruel, relentless leaders. They were feared, not loved.

Garrosh Hellscream: Indeed? It appears I have much to learn from these “mogu.”

Garrosh Hellscream: What do you have to report?

Note: To the left side of Garrosh, by the corner, players can see Regent Lord Lor’Themar Theron. He got an eyepatch.

Buried Secrets

Fanlyr Silverthorn: I am told that the mogu once possessed hundreds of hidden armories full of earth-shattering weapons.

When a mogu army prepared for war, they struck fear and terror into the hearts of their enemies.

THIS is the knowledge I seek here on Pandaria!

I have sent an expedition to study some ruins to the west, but they work as slowly as dim-witted peons!

Go speak to Fanlyr Silverthorn, their leader. Tell him that I want to see results immediately.

Speak to Fanlyr Silverthorn at Ancestral Rise in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Note: Fanlyr Silverthorn is found at [20.9 – 15.7]

Fanlyr Silverthorn: The Warchief sent you? What does he say?

Voice of the Gods

Fanlyr Silverthorn: Too slowly!? We are working as quickly as possible for the Warchief!

We must excavate carefully, catalogue each find, and of course follow safety procedures. He must understand!

Well, we may have something to show him soon. Do you see that stone statue to the west?

We suspect it is an ancient stone storage vessel. Now we just have to find a way to open it.

If you would care to help us with our excavation, please go about it carefully.

Investigate the Mercurial Guardian, then obtain the Empyreal Decoder and use it near the Emperor’s Tablet.

  • Investigate the Mercurial Guardian
  • Emperor’s Tablet translated

Silvermoon Runeseeker: W-What’s happening? It’s coming alive!

(The Mercurial Guardian comes to life!)

(The Mercurial Guardian’s skin becomes as hard as silver!)

Note: Four Mercurial Visage spawn. These are lion-like statues. They can be crowd controlled, but the important thing is to move away when they die. Their corpse spawn a large pool of mercurial lava which quickly kills the player.

Note: Very important … loot the Mercurial Guardian. The Empyreal decoder item is looted. Walk toward the big tablet standing where the Mercurial Guardian was at, and click it. The player’s character will channel a decoding spell, triggering an in-game cinematic. (video)

Narrator: In the one-hundred-and-seventieth year of the Thunder King’s reign, the Korune spellweavers came to Lei Shen with their greatest creation.

A bell cast from the maker’s flesh, shaped by stars’ fire, and bound by the breath of darkest shadow.

This bell, when rung, could shake the world and call to the heavens.

Awed by its power, the Thunder King described the instrument as “the voice of the gods”, and named it the Divine Bell.

Eventually, the Thunder King fell, and the Bell changed hands. Many tried to use its power. Some tried to silence its sound. All failed.

Finally, the Korune spellweavers laid claim to their instrument and hid it away. Since then, the Bell has been lost to history.

(Emperor’s Tablet translated 1/1)

Silvermoon Runeseeker: Hmm … very interesting. This ledger will yield many secrets, indeed.

(Achievement Progress: The Voice of the Gods)

Silvermoon Runeseeker: If I am correct, (name), then this … Divine Bell … is exactly the type of weapon that Garrosh is looking for. Return to your other duties for now. I will bring this information to the Warchief myself.

Note: Go to your mailbox. A letter from Fanlyr Silverthron can be found there. Reliquary Facsimile: “A copy of a page from the Thunder King’s Empyreal Ledger. It describes the origin of the Divine Bell.”

    Subject: A Startling Discovery

    Greetings (name):

Thank you again for your help with our excavation in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

As expected, Warchief Hellscream was more than pleased to learn of the Empyreal Ledger that you excavated from the stone guardian.

I thought you might be interested in receiving a copy of the relevant factual data that you recovered.

I trust, of course, that you will not share this sensitive information with just anyone.

    ~ Fanlyr Silverthorn

Patch 5.1 Horde Daily Quests: Domination Point

These are the daily quests provided at Domination Point where players carry out missions to defend the isle from Alliance stormtroopers, gyrocopters, a naval fleet and a gunship.

Flash! AaaaaaHHHH!

Blood Guard Gro’tash: The gnomes have brought their flying contraptions. I want my skies CLEAR!

Get up there on whatever mount you have with you and destroy those paltry devices.

You may use this grog I “acquired” from our goblin allies. It would be better served blasting down gyrocopters than in the gullet of those little green fiends.

Objectives: Use the Bilgewater Molotovs to destroy 6 Skyfire Gyrocopter X2s.

Blood Guard Gro’tash: Ha! Simple mechanical toys are no match for a well aimed bottle of grog.

Easter Egg

The title of this quest is a song from Queen used in Flash Gordon (TV Series): Flash (thanks, Vineyard)

Tear it Up

Brolic (Blade of the Warchief): The Alliance may be cowardly, but they are no fools. Their assault would be formidable, if it were directed at lesser creatures.

To sustain a siege and put pressure on our troops they are air dropping in supplies to support their ground forces.

Search the beaches and docks to the south for any airdropped supplies and smash them.

Let the Alliance see their food and ammunition destroyed before their eyes and despair.

Destroy 8 Alliance Supply Drops.

Brolic (Blade of the Warchief): Just remember, the weapon of choice is not always the weapon with the longest range or heaviest amount of damage. In the end, the best weapon is the weapon that works every time.

Easter Egg

The title of this quest is a song by Queen — Tear it Up

Death on Two Legs

Shokia: The Alliance elite force, the 7th Legion, has made landfall. If we do not defeat them here, any hope of a Horde presence on this continent is lost.

Go to the battlefield south of here and slay members of the 7th Legion.

Show them how any horde who still stands on two legs will be the death of twenty Alliance!

Objectives: Defeat 10 7th Legion Marines, Paratroopers, or Stromtroopers.

Shokia: Well done, (name). I see your time in this land has hardened your resolve and sharpened your skills.

Easter Egg

The title of this quest is a song by Queen — Death on Two Legs

All Dead, All Dead

Brolic (Blade of the Warchief): Our Warchief has dispatched me to these shores to deal with this pitiful Alliance threat. These humans and their allies have proven to be very dependant on their leaders. No initiative of their own. As you walk the battlefield today look to the Alliance ships off our southern shores. Find their captains. Slay them. For the Horde!

Defeat Captain Lamb and Captain Mulkey.

It is not enough to rob the Alliance of their leaders. We must warn those who would aspire to leadership the cost of such ambition.

Another One Bites the Dust

Blood Guard Gro’tash: The Alliance have planted themselves off our southern coast and continue to pepper our ground forces with cannon fire. Let us see how great their siege is without such support.

Board the enemy vessels and destroy their reserve ammunition. This will take the teeth out of their bite.

Detonate the explosive cargo of The Defiant and Valor’s Edge.

Blood Guard Gro’tash: Ah! Look at them burn. These new Alliance craft require more to destroy them permanently however. I am sure they will have those fires out in a day or two.

Easter Egg

The title of this quest is a song of Queen titled: Another One Bites the Dust.
