Valley of Eternal Blossoms – Capital Cities in Mists of Pandaria (Video)
The Valley of Eternal Blossoms was opened for testing in Mists of Pandaria beta recently on last Tuesday. This patch revealed two new capital cities: Shrine of the Two Moons (Horde) and the Shrine of Seven Stars (Alliance).
Both capital cities are massive buildings of Mogu architecture taken by both factions as their new capital in the Pandaria continent.
The videos below give you a quick tour through both capitals to show you where the Inn, Bank, Auction House, and Reforge areas are, and of course, some of the vendors.
Outdoors you can find the Flying Mount Trainers to buy the Wisdom of the Four Winds license (2,500 gold) to fly in Pandaria. The Stable master and the Pet Battle System NPC can be found there too.
Beneath the capital, you can find the faction NPCs who provide the initial daily quests. There are more than a hundred daily quests — each day you get a different random experience.
The factions are: The Tillers, the August Celestials, The Golden Lotus, the Lorewalkers, the Anglers, the Shado-Pan, the Brewmasters, and the Order of the Cloud Serpent.
The Tillers are currently unavailable. This is where players can build their own farm in the Valley of the Four Winds. The Daily quests take you to the Halfhill, and from there to the Heartland which has massive farms of all kind of vegetables. Halfhill is for cooking profession players.
The Anglers can be found in Krasarang Wilds where several NPCs give random quests that reward you with Fishing points. Nat Pagle and other races can be found there as NPC quest givers.
The Lorewalkers are for archeology players. The Golden Lotus is a faction of the Disciples of Chi-ji in Krasarang Wilds. The Shado-Pan can be found in Kun-Lai Summit at the Temple of the White Tiger.
The Order of the Cloud Serpent is the one you should look forward to for rising your own cloud serpent hatchling until it grows into your flying mount. There are race goal banner/ flags all over the Jade Forest hinting at a flying race and possibly rewards (think of the Fishing Derby). I have seen race flags at the end of the big wall in Krasarang Wilds. Thus, who knows how far these races take you.
In this tier you can also find the Elder Quartermaster and the Craftmen Quartermaster. These are currently disabled, but likely these is where you can buy high-end gear with Valor and Justice tokens.
The good news about all these faction daily quests is that each daily quest grants you valor points. Additionally, this is a way of building reputation simultaneously with all the factions each day. It was a bit harsh to build reputation with only one faction at a time via the tabard, forcing players to grind dungeons over and over until they reached exalted, then get another faction tabard to start from scratch (neutral) toward Exalted. A bit of a chance of pace, and a great developer decision.
