I was finally able to access the Public Test Realm by copying my PvE character into the PvP server.  The Gnomish Flying Machine is absolutely awesome. It rotates its two engines vertically in order to land, and keeps them vertical until it ascends to fly off.  Then it rotates them horizontally as you move forward. It will be a very fun craftable mount to show off.
