Added more screenshots taken by Draiken and Scott from BlizzCon. Some are exclusive images from the Press Kit. One of the screenshots shows a huge Naval ship in the horizon. These are well known Battleships from Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. Pity Draiken didn’t get closer. With the addition of new islands to the World Map, the crashed ship in Caverns of Time, and the Naval ship it seems South Seas will make its way to World of Warcraft at some point. Can’t but dream of epic naval warfare battlegrounds and arenas.
The islands seen near the western coast of Stranglethorn Vale are Zandalar and Plunder Isle (bottom right). Zandalar is the homeland of the trolls that give you Zul’Gurub quests; while Plunder Isle is the current base of operations for the Bloodsail Buccaneers. According to the RPG Book, the Bloodsail Buccaneers seek to take Kul’Tiras. The huge island at the center of the map, below the maelstrom is Isle of Kezan, where Undermine is located. And the big isle to the east of Theramore is Tel Abim. You can see those isles on the World of Warcraft RPG: Lands of Mystery Map
Among the screenshots you can see an Explorer’s League Dwarven excavation site where they have dug up a huge Titan corpse or statue at Thor Modan. This was also mentioned in the Lands of Mystery RPG Book.
