Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and proactive associate community manager to help lead community projects across all of our franchises through creative use of social media platforms, trends, and Blizzard Entertainment’s current communication platforms, including our newly recreated Battle.net system.

This individual will be a forward thinker capable of taking projects from start to finish and have strong communication skills both for internal and external situations (including international). Additionally, the associate manager will be a part of a larger team, able to play both the role as a leader and team member according to needs. This individual will have a strong desire to work consistently in supporting and evolving the way Blizzard Entertainment’s community grows and expands.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in the latest social media, gaming, and marketing trends. He or she will have a strong understanding in which these trends are headed and be able to use this knowledge to improve effectiveness of future and current community projects. Furthermore, this individual will be able to quantify results and achievements of projects through tangible metrics measuring engagement, influence, and make appropriate adaptations to hit striving goals. Lastly, this person will be highly motivated, conscientious, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

* Manage community projects.
* Manage the progression of current community communication platforms.
* Manage application creation for social media platforms.
* Evaluate ongoing projects.
* Stay abreast of state-of-the-art industry trends and innovative developments.
* Participate in and help coordinate fairs and events.
* Assist other members of the community team with community-related tasks.
* Handle other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

* Previous experience working in community management, online marketing, and/or consulting
* Strong understanding of both current social media trends and Blizzard Entertainment’s player community
* Ability to creatively envision new ideas and approaches to take them to fruition
* Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact with external parties and internal stakeholders
* Willingness to work long hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and be available on call
* Strong time-management and organization skills
* Superior communications, presentation, and facilitation skills: must have the ability to structure a concise, clear presentation of findings, and effectively present this to any level in the organization
* Ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to manage multiple projects and achieve results with little supervision
* Availability for occasional travel
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office
* A passion for gaming

* Strong PowerPoint creation skills
