It is a reference to the Marines and how they say the same line about their rifle. It is also seen in the movie Jarhead when they make them repeat the line. Excerpt: “This is my rifle. WORLD OF WARCRAFT (CLASSIC) EASTER EGGS

In-game Quote

You can see the tracks leading up to a blackspot in the cliff side in Shimmering Flats and in Tanaris the wrecked rocket car.

Reference: Buckaroo Bonzai

Using a Jet Car modeled after a Ford F-350 pick-up – “Buckaroo has perfected the oscillation overthruster, which allows him to travel through solid matter by using the 8th dimension.”

Thanks, Tenchiro.

Reference: Carmageddon – This could also be a reference to the classic urban legend of the folks who attached a JATO engine to the back of their car, and, as the legend goes, were doing all right – until it came time to turn. The reality is, that this is completely bogus for any number of practical considerations. Details can be found here.

It’s arguably the classic internet urban legend.
