Rumor: Steven Spielberg to direct World of Warcraft movie?

Take this extremely with a grain of salt—it is an unconfirmed rumor. Joblo got a buzz that Steven Spielberg is now being set to direct WORLD OF WARCRAFT, the adaptation of the popular computer game.  I will keep an eye on every news outlet to bring you an update. With a news like this, Blizzard won’t take long to deny or confirm.

UPDATE: Gamespot got a denial from Blizzard as expected:

“No final determinations have been made at this time,” a rep told GameSpot. “We?re working closely and carefully with [production company] Legendary Pictures on ensuring that the team that forms around this epic production will be equipped to fully capture the Warcraft universe on film. We look forward to revealing further details about the cast and crew in the months ahead.”
