Blizzard Entertainment CEO Mike Morhaime confirmed the Next-Gen MMO is a completely original IP. MCV managed to get a stunning statement from the executive vice-president Frank Pearce. Apparently, Blizzard Entertainment is working on more games than those players are aware of.

On top of the next World of Warcraft expansion, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Diablo III, the unannounced Next-Gen MMO (new IP) and the unannounced game (new IP) … Frank Pearce confirmed Blizzard Entertainment has other projects kept under wraps.

There we go, folks. Some of our favorite rumors such as StarCraft: Ghost and Warcraft IV might be viable after all. Considering the known teams are busy, it is possible Blizzard has been hiring new developers the past years to create new teams focused on these unknown projects in some underground bunker within their Irvine campus.

Frank Pearce told MCV: “We’ve got lots of projects, besides those, that we’re not talking about”.

MCV will publish the full interview in upcoming days.
