Low-End Graphic Card EVGA NVIDIA GT 520 Available

evga-gt-520

EVGA announced recently their new EVGA NVIDIA GT 520, a low-end video card with DirectX 11, GeForce CUDA, Blue-ray 3D, OpenGL 4.1 and Physix support.

This graphic card has a 1.4a HDMI, DVI-I and VGA connectors.

The current low-end consumption and desktop graphic card market is battled between the EVGA NVIDIA GT 520 and the AMD Radeon HD 6450. Something I love about EVGA is their 3 years warranty, great tech support and driver updates.

It’s ultimately everyone’s personal choice: NVIDIA or ATI.

According to NVIDIA, StarCraft II and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm take full advantage of the GeForce GT 520. Coming from NVIDIA, sounds like a good choice if you are building a new system, but don’t want to spend more than $100 for a graphic card. The EVGA GeForce GT 520 1024 MB DDR3 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card Video Card 01G-P3-1523-KR is available for pre-order for $79.80.

After pre-ordering, customers will get an email informing you an estimated delivery date, and customers won’t be charged until the item ships.

Those considering to go for the GT 520 should be aware it requires a motherboard with a PCI Express 2.0 connector.

Meh — I would rather get a high-end graphic card

If you are building your computer and want a high-end NVIDIA graphic card, the best one at the moment is the EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Superclocked 1536 MB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card with Lifetime Warranty 015-P3-1582-AR. It sports a 1536 MB 384-bit 0.4ns GDDR5 memory, running at 4050 MHz memory clock and 1594 MHz shader clock. It’s NVIDIA 2-way, 3-way and 4-way SLI ready. Each video card costs around $513.49.

I would definitely go for the superclocked version, because the watered-down version of the GTX 580 (non-superclocked) costs around $499. Not much of a saving, much better performance.

Whether you stream 1080p online videos from sites like YouTube or Hulu or prefer immersive Blu-Ray 3D movies, the power of the GeForce GT 520 GPU makes your video playback fast and smooth.

Go beyond photos and videos and take your gaming to the next level. With the EVGA GeForce GT 520, your favorite DirectX 11 games come to life with lifelike characters and incredibly detailed terrain and game environments.
