World of Warcraft Rises Q1 Game Revenues

World of Warcraft increased Q1 2006 game revenue for the french conglomerate Vivendi as reported today by Reuters and Yahoo News.

PARIS (Reuters) – Vivendi on Thursday posted a forecast-beating 5.7 percent rise in first-quarter sales, invigorated by strong performances by music artists such as Prince and online role-playing game World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft, one of the world’s most popular online role-playing games, helped lift first-quarter games revenues by 18.6 percent to 134 million euros
