Blizzard released a patch preview to fathom the mystery and forever-silenced history within the dark walls of the Black Temple.  This major content will be available in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Patch 2.1 still in the public test realms.  The preview release may indicate the patch will be distributed soon on Live servers.  This preview offers a Black Temple Trailer and a Lore Page.

I recommend fans to watch this cool trailer.  Akama narrates the story of the Black Temple when it

was a pristine Draenei temple of the Light named the Temple of Karabor. We see Akama in the trailer as a Draenei in his original uncorrupted form, serving as a priest of the temple.  The Orcish Horde, now corrupted by demons raided and slaughtered the unsuspecting Draenei and claimed the Temple of Karabor as their own.  The demons invading Outland after the rifts of Ner’zhul tore apart Draenor.  The arrival of Illidan, Lady Vashj and Kael’Thas. Akama joining the enemy of his enemy: Illidan, to help seal the portals (As shown in Warcraft III: Frozen Throne – Campaign Transcript here).

Just to realize, he has just replaced an evil with a more nefarious one. Ever-watchful on his new duty as jailor of Maiev, Akama meditates his past mistakes listening to his memories of the past … the demons within … Akama has been patient the last four years since the arrival of Illidan. The Betrayer will one day become the Betrayed.

Blizzard should seriously consider making full featured animations using the game’s engine to broadcast Warcraft TV Series such as Transformers: Beast Wars on national TV.  That’s my two cents.

Long ago on Draenor, the Temple of Karabor was the center of draenei worship. But the devout priests who prayed there are long dead, slaughtered by marauding, demonically corrupted orcs. In the massacre’s aftermath the warlocks of the Shadow Council seized the structure and bestowed upon it a new name: the Black Temple.

The most difficult new challenge that awaits players in Patch 2.1 will be the hunt for Illidan in his own dark citadel – a quest to bring the reign of the evil overlord to an end. Watch our new Black Temple Trailer now to learn more about this new 25-man raid, and check out the Black Temple preview page to learn more about the history of Illidan’s fortress – and why freeing it from his evil taint is of paramount importance…
