| Medievaldragon 21. Click Here . Medievaldragon I love that Book cover, some fans may not recognize them, and some will get excited if they pick it right away. Is that really Furion and Ilidian at a younger age? Richard Yes, that is Malfurion at a younger age. Medievaldragon I will take a wild guess. Was it drawn by Chris Metzen? Samwise? or TwinCruiser? Richard You know, I’ve forgotten, but I think it isn’t by either. I could be wrong. I’ve seen a lot of artwork lately and have them all a bit tangled together, namewise Medievaldragon Yea there is a lot of artwork being made by Blizzard lately. Richard All good. Medievaldragon 22. Will your first book for the War of Ancients trilogy cover the whole story of the war against Sargeras and the Burning Legion? Explain how this may affect Rhonin and Krasus. Rhonin will see an era of carnage and demons destroying and killing everything in their path. Richard Actually, the entire trilogy covers the war. It will have an effect on everyone. Rhonin for what he has already lived through and what may happen to his future. Krasus for what he knows will happen…and what he can’t remember happening. Malfurion for the destruction of his land. No one will be left untouched. Medievaldragon It will surely be a wide detailed story. Medievaldragon 23. Will we be able to read about how Furion and Tyrande plan to destroy the Well of Eternity, the betrayal of Ilidian and the sundering of Ancient Kalimdor creating the Maelstrom and splitting Ancient Kalimdor into 4 continents? This will be very intense to write from a writer point of view. A lot of details to express the catastrophe and all the feelings between the characters. The love triangle of Tyrande, Malfurion and Illidian. Richard You should see all of this, albeit not necessarily exactly as you think. With the DEMON SOUL already finished, things are very intense, I can say. The relationship between the brothers and Tyrande is essential to the storyline. That’s just the lapping of the water in the Well of Eternity Medievaldragon I bet Medievaldragon I can feel the waves of Deja vu. Rhonin destroyed the demon soul in his present. And he is now in the past, where the Demon Soul exists. I can see a lot of temptation going on in Rhonin’s heart. But that can be left to curiosity for the fans ... hehe! Richard There is some temptation, but remember that Rhonin knows it is evil. Others do not. O:) Medievaldragon hmm ... alrite! (Note: Made me think that innocent whipping hint—but although I had the killing to go for it, I prefered to leave this to your imagination. He is telling more in the half-through hints than with full statements if you see where the missing pieces are leading to) Medievaldragon Sorry, I am just teasing the fans without making you revealing much! Richard And I haven’t revealed much, either Medievaldragon The fans should read the book for more right guys? Medievaldragon Do you have any other projects you would like to bring up to the fans besides this trilogy Richard Yes Medievaldragon ok, onto new projects you have ... Richard I am working on the final book of the Minotaur Wars for Dragonlance Richard The first is out in paperback now. If you’d like a different slant. Richard On Minotaurs, please check it out. I will be doing the third book in the Warcraft trilogy. Now called THE SUNDERING, since the Burning Legion is obviously already there by then. (Note: Bookstores listed the third book to be named Burning Legion, Richard A. Knaak is renaming it to The Sundering in honor to what happened after the destruction of the Well of Eternity, which sunk the Middle Jungles and Suraman underwater—now refered to as the Great Sea and the Maelstrom. Where there was once a sole massive continent now fractured there are four sub-continents: Kalimdor, Northrend, Lordaeron and Azeroth.) Richard In addition, I have the Zayl novel for Diablo and have agreed to write the Aquilonia trilogy, which is based on the world of Robert E. Howard’s Conan. But is being written, like Warcraft, as a true trilogy, not a pastiche as in times before. Also, I have another Warcraft project which I cannot announce yet, but you ain’t seen it like before. Medievaldragon You know ... that is interesting. I wonder if Blizzard would like you to write the story of the Taurens; since you have a wide background on the Minotaur series. Richard We will see some Taurens in the trilogy… Beyond that, who knows? Medievaldragon That is cool. Richard People can find out more Medievaldragon Any projects planned for Diablo II? Richard At my website. Only the Zayl novel as far as I’m concerned at the moment. Richard www.sff.net/people/knaak Richard Join my e-mail list for announcements, too. My e-mail is on the website. Medievaldragon I wish they ask you to write the storyline for Diablo III. Just a wish. They left interrogatives when the World Stone was destroyed. You are the right person to follow up in the storyline. Richard That’s for Blizzard to decide. If people overall continue to enjoy my work, they should tell Simon & Schuster and Blizzard by e-mail—- in a polite manner, of course. (Note: HInt ... Hint! Guys, write your emails asking Blizzard to have Richard A. Knaak write the storyline for Diablo III if it is not already done, or to write the Storyline for Starcraft 2). Medievaldragon Do you have a newsletter for the fans announcing your public presentations, book signings and new projects? Richard I send out an e-mail announcement on an irregular basis which often talks of new releases, forthcoming, and appearances Richard “I control my own site, which is why it’s primitive, but I want that. And the e-mails are more up-to-date than the page, of late.—He said in rhyme” Medievaldragon Fans are invited to subscribe to the newsletter over at his website. Richard You will hear of all projects, no ads for refrigerators! Medievaldragon Any other projects that can be of interest to fans? Outside the Blizzard universe? You mentioned many others, I want to make sure nothing is left out. Richard I think that many would enjoy the Minotaur Wars, a story of intrigue, war, and minotaurs, of course. As for others not mentioned, I think I covered the ones that would fit here Medievaldragon Ok, I think we are ready to get the fans feedback Richard I welcome them Medievaldragon Let us move to #wowlands channel
