Apple CEO Tim Cook was a special guest of the first lady Michelle Obama at the State of the Union event. During the State of the Union speech by President Obama, he mentioned Apple will be manufacturing some of its computers in the United States.

This means a lot of new job openings will land in California this year.

Today, Apple and its affiliated stores have announced all 13″ Apple MacBook Pro Retina displays and non-Retina MacBooks dropped $200. The exception is the 15″ MacBook Pro Retina display, but that model is getting a CPU upgrade (2.4GHz and 2.7GHz quad-core processors), and 16GB Ram instead.

Nowadays, I’d rather build my own PC computer or get a cheaper Dell or ASUS laptop. Kinda odd for me when my first computer was an Apple G4 Tower, but everyone has a right to choose.

If you are a Mac or PC user, and fancied upgrading to a Apple MacBook Pro Retina display, this sounds like the best timing to do so while supplies last.

I just got a message, B&H gives free or discounted software (Value $59.99) & 50% off AppleCare to new orders. Browse through the different Apple MacBook Pro Retina display and Non-Retina options here.
